Chapter 9 production underway
Added 2025-01-15 22:38:32 +0000 UTCToday a new progress infographic went up on the pinned post for chapter 9, meaning that I've now started production on that chapter.
If you've seen the infographics for the previous chapters, you'll notice is a lot smaller. And that's because chapter 9 is going to be a little bit different from the other chapters.
It's the first of number of smaller updates, that each fulfill one of the promises made in the previous chapters, tied together with the small dramatic arc set up at the end of chapter 8. It's a change of pace, but I got a good feeling about proceeding this way.
In other news, I've also wrapped up most of the concepting I started with during the holidays, for a follow up to Light of my Life. I ended up with a document with now just shy of 90 pages of story notes, for what seems to be shaping up to be a 3-book series (with multiple chapters each), as well as finishing design concepts for four of the main characters.
Over the coming time, I'll be slowly revealing some of my thoughts and ideas for a new game to a few of you to get a feel for what you think about it, although the main focus at this point is to get Chapter 9 completed and released.

Thanks. We'll see how that goes, but at any rate I'm also quite excited to get to write something new, even if the LomL universe is still a joy to write in.

I'm sure that with what you have learned on this one, you should be able to make the next one as satisfying for your existing reader base but also more commercially viable and hence reach a wider audience.

2025-01-17 07:10:49 +0000 UTCTo me it felt like there have been hints at or even short cameos of possible future characters we might get to see more of in an upcoming follow-up game. Goldie and Naz come to mind immediately. At least I really hope to see lots more of Naz in the future. I was totally blown away by her and think she looks absolutely stunning. Goldie seems to have some more story to her already as has been hinted at in the latest update. Could well be though that she will be part of the odds and ends to be closed within the final part of this story. Anyways looking forward to whatever will be coming to Light of my Life, as well as whatever story you'll be going to be sharing with us in the future.
