So, not too long ago I wrote a post about not wanting to go with pay up front, in which I laid out my reservations against paying for something without being able to try it out, and explained how I want Light of my Life to be available for everyone, and for people to support it because want it to be made, not because they are locked out of it.

I'd hoped to be able to show that this wouldn't matter at all in how a game is doing, and perhaps even show that it makes it do better. However, I've since found that it's actually hurting pretty bad, financially.

In fact, Light of my Life is making just half of what other games are making with similar numbers of patrons.

So, in order to remedy this, and see if it's possible for Light of my Life to generate an income per hour that is a little bit closer to what I'm actually making an hour with my day job, I propose to make one change to the way it's released.

I'm putting this to a poll, because you may have pledged based on what I wrote earlier, and that means you have a say in it as well.

The entirety of the change I want to make is as follows:

"(girl) friend and up tiers get the official release one week early."

So, no special editions for higher tiers only, no pay up front enabled, and the same version of the game still goes out to the buddy tier at the same time it goes out to the public, one week later.
Distribution will take place by direct messaging a link to you if you are in an eligible tier at the moment of release.
