Ah we reached the Madoka Magica arc of the show, Shaft really reminded people that they made Madoka with this and the next episodes. Alice is so tragic, she's one of my favorite characters from Extra, All I want is for her to be happy

2024-10-06 00:00:36 +0000 UTCThis episode and the next one are my absolute favourite part of Last Encore, and really are what made me a fan of the show the first time I watched it. Up to this point I'd basically just been watching it because it's Fate, but after seeing how far they went here with the stylised art and just general surreal/creepy atmosphere, I was fully sold on just going with the vibes and seeing what they were going to do next. Also, if you liked the art (and the feels) of this episode then you should definitely check out Madoka Magica if you haven't already, it's by the same studio and you can definitely tell they were borrowing from their previous experience on it in these two episodes.

Studio Shaft really pulled a Madoka Magica with the scenery which adds to the surrealism of it all. Which is fitting due to this girl and her Servant (which I won't say much about until next episode).

She is basically the Gilgamesh of fantasy, she could summon theoretically any fictional creature or character. Possibly even cthulu and other lovecraftian horrors. So be grateful she pretty much just sticks to children stories
