Girls Night Out - Lily

I sighed as I scanned the nightclub. Beth was flirting with a handsome man, who, judging by his expression, looked a bit frightened by her intensity.

“Scared,” I thought. That was the most common reaction my dates had too. Being openly lesbian didn’t help me either; most girls rejected me instantly on dating apps as soon as they saw “Scorpion” on my profile.

Looking toward the bar, I searched for Serass, hoping to find some comfort in my solitude. But she wasn’t there. Where had that devilish girl gone this time?

With a sigh, I picked up a glass with one of my pincers, careful not to crush it. People always underestimated the control I had over them, thinking they were just brutish claws. Moving toward the dance floor, I carefully brushed past a few distracted people who barely noticed me. Of course, I wasn’t going to dance, I was far too large to do so without getting in everyone’s way.

“Excuse me,” I said, trying to pass. The reaction was always the same: humans and other species instantly stepped aside, their eyes wide, but never meeting mine. Instead, their gaze lingered on the sharp stinger hovering over my head, as if they thought I might sting them at any moment. It was frustrating, always the eyes on the stinger. “Cowardly humans,” I thought, wrinkling my nose in mild disgust.

“Pandinus imperator, or should I say Imperatrix?” said a small but sweet voice.

I looked around, searching for the source, and saw her, a tall, slender girl in an oversized sequin dress that barely hinted at any curves. It was clear the dress was borrowed, perhaps last-minute.

“Oops, maybe I was a bit rude… sorry,” she said, looking directly into my eyes through her thick glasses.

I was stunned. The only person who’d ever looked me in the eyes upon meeting me was Serass, but with her, I always felt like I was the one in front of a predator. Yet here was this girl, staring at me without an ounce of fear.

“Well, sorry to bother you…” she said, beginning to turn away, her cheeks slightly flushed.

“No, wait, that’s not it!” I said quickly, gently catching her wrist with my left pincer.

“Oh, I’m sorry!” I added, letting go immediately. “Did I hurt you?”

“No, it’s fine. Wow, I love the texture of your chitin!” she said, holding my pincer with both hands.

“Oh?” I replied, bewildered.

“Ha! Sorry, I get a little excited. This might sound weird, but I’m a bit of a bug nerd. My name’s Sandra, by the way. Nice to meet you!” she said with a smile.

“Hey, I’m not a bug!” I protested, pouting but leaving my pincer in her hands.

“Ha, sorry! I’m an entomologist. Scorpions are my favorite invertebrates, by the way. What’s your name?” Sandra asked, stepping closer, now standing comfortably between my large pincers, looking me directly in the eyes.

“L… Lily. Nice to meet you, Sandra,” I stammered, touching my hair and feeling a bit flustered.

I took a closer look at Sandra. She was entirely flat-chested, no curves at all. Perhaps the event that changed me into what I am now had altered my perspective, making humans seem plain or unappealing. Most who transformed had an alluring human half, designed to catch the eye. Yet, something about Sandra intrigued me, even though she wasn’t my usual body type.

“So, what’s it like being half-scorpion?” Sandra shouted over the booming techno music.

I smiled. “How about we go somewhere quieter, and I’ll tell you all about it?” I shouted back.

“Okay!” Sandra beamed, grabbing my pincer and leading me off the dance floor.

---

We found a reserved area in the nightclub. Although not completely private, the curtains and high-backed furniture made it a semi-secluded spot, where couples usually went for some privacy. The UV lights made the gin and tonics glow, and as a side effect, my carapace emitted a faint green glow, one of the traits I shared with other arthropod species.

I settled comfortably on a large mattress of pillows designed for larger patrons like me. Sandra took the sofa beside me, sitting as close as she could. I noticed her eyes drifting longingly to the space between my pincers, but she didn’t act on it.

“You make me so jealous, you know?” she said, pouting slightly.

“Huh? Jealous of what?” I laughed, a little surprised.

Most people envied our appearance. Arachne types often had strikingly attractive human torsos, perhaps a natural adaptation to make potential prey feel at ease. The day of the transformation, I couldn’t believe how silky and bright green my hair had become. My skin cleared up, and my bust size increased a few sizes, too. I had to toss all my bras that day.

“I wished I had transformed into a scorpion when the event happened, but here I am, human and boring,” Sandra said, taking a large sip from her cocktail.

“Oh, I’m sorry. I didn’t ask to become this way, but I admit I wouldn’t want to go back now, even with all the challenges it brings,” I said, taking a sip of my drink.

“Challenges?” Sandra asked, looking genuinely curious.

I held up my stinger, placing it in front of her face. “Big, scary, sharp, venomous stinger!” I almost shouted, frustrated.

“This? Why is it a problem? I think it’s… sexy,” Sandra said, reaching out and stroking it gently, almost like she was holding a man’s intimate part.

‘This girl really has a scorpion fetish,’ I thought, feeling a surprising twinge of pleasure as she moved her hands across my stinger.

“Does that feel good?” she asked, bold and curious. “What if I do this…” she continued, leaning forward to lick it softly.

I moaned instantly, taken aback by how skillfully she explored my sensitive spots. Despite her small, frail frame, she possessed a confidence unlike any of the few brave lovers I’d had since my transformation.

“Sandra, you should stop… playing with this is… not …oh GOOD!” I gasped as she pressed down on my venom glands, causing a thick stream of venom to spray onto her face. I panicked.

“Don’t move and breathe slowly! I have antivenom epiphen in my purse! Oh, shit!” I started rummaging for it, but Sandra stopped me.

“It’s okay, really. I’ve been stung by much more venomous scorpions than you, no offense! It just tingles,” Sandra said calmly, wiping the venom off with a laugh.

Once again, this thin human girl left me utterly bewildered. Slowly, I put the antivenom ephipen back in my purse and sat down.

“Sandra, I think this is going a bit too fast. Can we sit and talk, please?” I asked, trying to keep my emotions in check, even though every fiber of me wanted to pull her close.

“Okay, I can do that,” she replied, smiling and sitting back, although her eyes still sparkled with excitement.

“Are you into girls… or is it just the scorpion part of me?” I asked, my voice sincere. “Because… I’m one hundred percent into girls, you know.”

“I’m bi, if that’s what you want to know. And yes, I do have a scorpion kink. Is that… bad?” Sandra replied, looking away slightly as she took a big sip from her drink.

“No, it’s just… surprising. I mean, most people are terrified of me,” I said, finally relaxing a little.

“Not me. I saw you across the club, and the first thought in my head was, ‘Am I dreaming? Who is this goddess?’” Sandra replied, her eyes shining.

“Goddess, huh? There’s definitely a goddess in the club today, but it’s not me,” I chuckled, finally meeting her gaze directly.

“Well, that’s just what this plain, lab assistant, bug-nerd, flat-chested girl thinks,” Sandra replied, her vulnerability showing for just a moment.

“You’re kind of cute, you know,” I said, feeling myself blush.

“Really?” she asked, looking genuinely surprised, her eyes lighting up with joy.

“Yes, from the bottom of my heart,” I assured her.

Sandra leapt up and kissed me deeply, her small, warm tongue exploring my mouth as I pulled her closer, embracing her small frame with my arms and pincers. Her gin-tonic lingered sweetly on her lips, and I felt something surge within me, an attraction not just for tonight.

As our lips parted, a thin string of saliva still connected us.

“You taste like coffee,” she murmured, licking her lips. “I love the taste of coffee.”

“You know, we could have some coffee tomorrow morning… at my place,” I suggested.

“Oh, that sounds wonderful. Are you going to bring it to me in bed?” she asked, tracing a finger along my pincer with a sensual smile.

“Y-yes, if you want,” I stammered, my heart racing.

“Then, my scorpion queen, we should go now, because I am starting to get really hungry,” she whispered, close enough that I felt her warm breath.

“Yes,” I managed, taking her hand and leading her out of the club.

Tonight was going to be unforgettable.
