Classroom Changes - Umako Chapter 7

Umako Classroom Changes: Chapter 7

It was a few days after Umako’s date with Hiroto. She was walking home from school accompanied by Aya, her mermaid friend, rolling beside her in a wheelchair.

“So,” Aya asked, “How did it go with Hiroto the other night?”

“It was… nice,” Umako replied. Aya sensed the hesitation in Umako’s voice and looked up into her face to see her blushing.

“Nice, huh!” Aya challenged her, “You did it with him, didn’t you!”

Umako’s blush deepened, and she turned her head away from Aya.

“Come on,” Aya insisted, “Spill it. I want all the details!”

“Well,” Umako hesitated, looking around to ensure none of their classmates were within earshot, “At first, he seemed scared of me. I had to take all the initiative. I felt like I was almost raping the poor boy. It’s odd; I would never have thought of being that assertive before the Event, but now it seems natural.”

“I know what you mean,” Aya agreed, “I think the girls of all the demi-human species are much less inhibited than we were as humans, especially when dealing with human boys. I expect it’s because we’re so much stronger than them now. We know that if we say ‘no,’ we can enforce it now.”

“Yeah,” Umako mused, “There was one point where I had him lying on the floor with my hoof on his chest. Don’t get me wrong, I would never hurt him, but I have to admit that the feeling that I could have crushed him gave me a little thrill.”

“Sometimes I fantasize about catching some cute boy swimming and dragging him out to sea where his life would be in my hands,” Aya admitted, “Then I tell him if he doesn’t satisfy me, he is doomed. It’s quite a turn-on.”

“Well, mermaids of legend supposedly lured sailors to their deaths,” Umako noted, “So it’s probably something genetic in your brain.”

“Anyway, quit stalling,” Aya demanded, “tell me how it went.”

“I got him to relax by having him explore all of my body,” Umako reported, getting a dreamy look on her face. “I think that helped him get used to the idea that I’m not a girl stuck to a horse, that my lower part is just as much me as the upper part. It was good for me, too; I discovered some new erogenous zones.”

“Yeah, that’s great,” Aya yawned, “Enough of the warm-up acts. What about the main event?”

‘It was AMAZING!!” Umako continued, a broad smile lighting up her face. “First, he gave me some oral action, which was really turning me on. Then I got the idea that his arm was just about the right size for a centauress sex toy, so I told him to use that. It didn’t take me long to finish once he started pumping his arm in there; the orgasm nearly blew my head off.”

“Oooh,” Aya said, “So little Hiroto was up to the task then?”

“I have no complaints,” Umako assured her, “though I feel a little sorry for him.”

“How so?” Aya asked.

“Well, I guess he’s reasonably well endowed for a human, but to be honest, when it was his turn, and he was inside me, I couldn’t feel much of anything. Maybe a little tickle, like a fly had landed on my butt. I had to suppress the urge to swat it with my tail. He said it was good for him, but it was his first time, so he didn’t have anything against which to judge it.”

“Wait!” Aya gasped, “You let him hit a home run?”

“Yes,” Umako admitted, blushing again, “It seemed like the right thing to do after making him work so hard. Besides, if I didn’t let him find out what intercourse between a human and a centaur is like, how would either of us know if we were compatible.”

“I hope you used protection!” Aya insisted.

“Of course,” Umako replied, sounding slightly offended. “I’m not stupid. He found a condom in his parents’ room. I wonder, though, if humans can get centaurs pregnant or if his little tool could even squirt his cum in far enough to do the job. Even so, I wasn’t going to take any chances!”

“I always knew from Hiroto’s social media posts that he was a kentaurophile,” Aya mused, “So I figured you’d be his dream waifu now. I hope you’re not just letting him live out a fantasy.”

“I don’t think so,” Umako said after a short pause, “We’ve had a connection for as long as I can remember. I think there’s something real there.”

“But enough about me,” Umako continued, “How are things going between you and your boyfriend? With him away at boarding school, I haven’t seen him since the Event. Didn’t you say he was some kind of seal now?”

“He says they’re calling him a selkie but that it’s not accurate. A selkie is a legendary being, a seal in the water and a human on land. He’s stuck in between, always half human and half sea lion.” Aya said, distracted as she fiddled with her phone. “Here’s a picture of him.” She added, turning the phone toward Umako.

“Nice,” Umako commented, “It’s great that you are both aquatic species.”

“Yes,” Aya agreed, “We lucked out that way. Of course, he still has to breathe air, so he can only stay underwater for 20 minutes or so, and he can’t dive below 300 meters, but that’s good enough for us to have lots of fun swimming together. On the other hand, he can move around on land, though he’s kind of clumsy.”

“And… How’s the sex,” Umako queried with a salacious grin.

“What makes you think we’ve had sex?” Aya protested unconvincingly.

“Because I know you,” Umako replied smugly.

“Honestly, in a regular bed, it’s pretty comical,” Aya confessed, “We’re both pretty uncoordinated on land. Getting our bits to line up is a lot of work, so we mostly stick to oral stuff. But when we’re in the ocean, it’s magical. It’s like we are weightless. We put our arms around each other; he clasps my tail with his flippers, and we glide through the water as a single being. The only thing I could compare it to would be having sex with a harpy while she’s in flight.”

“Sounds great,” Umako said, a little jealous of how well Aya and her boyfriend fit together and how mismatched she was with Hiroto. Nevertheless, she firmly believed that love conquers all and that she and Hiroto would make it work.

“Hey,” Aya remarked, startling Umako from her reverie, “Isn’t that the new Monster Girl Cafe everyone’s been talking about?”

“Ugh, what is with that ‘Monster Girl’ stuff,” Umako said, “Isn’t that kind of demeaning to us?”

“They’re using it ironically,” Aya explained, “It’s a play on the Maid Cafes where the women are so subservient to the customers. The girls that work there aren’t going to be calling anyone ‘master.’”

“So... It’s like one of those tsundere cafes I’ve heard about?” Umako mused

“Not really, they aren’t mean to the customers, more just sassy. Come on, let’s check it out!” Aya insisted.

Umako held the door open for Aya’s wheelchair and followed her into the cafe. To her great surprise, they were greeted by Serass.

“Good afternoon, horsey girl and fishtail. Welcome to the Cafe.”

“Serass! You work here?” Umako exclaimed.

“Sure, why not?” Serass answered as if it were the most natural thing. “I got bored of playing schoolgirl. Watching all the chaos on the day of the Event was fun, but it got pretty dull after they sorted everything out. It’s not like there’s anything they teach that I don’t already know. This place provides lots of entertainment by watching humans interact with the staff.”

“Even better, when a human gets out of line, I get the pleasure of disciplining him,” Serass added with a shark-toothed grin. Umako and Aya both shuddered a little upon seeing it.

Serass directed the pair to a tall table suitable for a centaur to stand at and then wandered off without another word. The table had a variable height chair. Umako adjusted the chair so Aya could sit comfortably at the table and lifted her friend into it.

“Well, it certainly is as advertised,” Aya remarked, “Everyone working here is a demi-human.”

“Yes, and it looks like all the customers except us are human men,” Umako added, “And a lot of them are staring at us.”

“Eeew, that guy leering at me is older than my father,” Aya said with a cringe.

“Relax,” Umako said, trying to reassure Aya. “It’s something we should have expected, given who we are and what the cafe is all about. Just ignore him. I’m sure Serass can handle it if he makes trouble.” Umako didn’t want to think too hard about exactly how Serass would handle it; that girl was scary.

A lamia in a maid costume slithered up to their table, her face lighting with recognition as she got closer.

“Umako! Aya!” the lamia exclaimed, “How nice to see a couple of my old classmates!”

“Leira?” Aya exclaimed, “You work here too?”

“Yes,” Leira replied, “My parents took me out of school because of all the commotion I was causing among the boys in the class, but they didn’t want me cut off entirely from the outside world. My mom knew Kate, the lady who runs this place, from before the Event. When she heard Kate had opened a cafe staffed by people like us, she asked if I could work here part-time.”

“How do you like the job?” Umako queried, “It seems like a lot of the customers are creeps.”

“Well, it’s kind of hard for me to judge them. My pheromones make most men uncontrollably horny, so even the nicest guy can come across as creepy when I get too close to him. I try to keep that in mind and not get offended, but I’m a little scared whenever I approach a table with men at it.”

“Why work here then?” Aya wondered.

“Because I must learn to deal with it, and this is a safe place. If someone tries anything worse than suggestive talk, the staff will protect me. But I will say I’m relieved when there’s a table of women at my station, which makes me extra happy to serve you girls. So, what can I get you?”

“Hmm… I think I’d like a latte, please,” Aya replied.

“A mocha for me, thanks,” Umako added.

“Great, how about some pastries?” Leira asked. “Yoko, our cook, makes pastries to die for! You know, I just remembered we have a special on right now: a free sampler plate of pastries with any coffee order. Can I bring you some?”

“I never turn down free,” Aya said enthusiastically, “Bring them on!”

As Leira left to get their orders, Aya whispered to Umako, “Poor Leira. It seems the Event has been unkind to her.”

“I wonder,” Umako mused quietly, “We’ve all had to make adjustments to fit into this world in our new forms, but the benefits are worth it. I love being able to run. You have a whole world under the sea to explore now. Look at how graceful Leira is with that shimmering, sinuous tail. The sexual harassment she’s been subjected to is troubling, but isn’t it something all women have to endure to some degree? Even without the pheromones, she’s a gorgeous woman, and lots of men would be hitting on her. I bet she wouldn’t return to her old self if she had the opportunity.”

Leira returned with their order just in time to hear the end of Umako’s musings.

“You’re damn right I wouldn’t,” she told them with a warm chuckle as she placed their drinks and pastries on the table, “I love who I am now. You know, I’ve always been shy and a little nerdy, so having so much male attention is pretty uncomfortable, but between us, I also get a little thrill at what simps I make of these guys. Most of them just get a stunned look and lose their words when I approach. It’s the ones that get aggressive that scare me.”

Leira left the girls to enjoy their drinks and pastries.

“Mmm... This is almost as good as sex!” Aya gushed as she tasted the first baked treat.

“Oh my,” Umako remarked, “I’ve never tasted anything so wonderful. It’s sweet and tart and umami all in one!”

They gobbled up every crumb of the pastries and were a little sad there wasn’t more. When Leira returned to collect the empty plates, Aya asked her to convey her compliments to the chef.

“Would you like to meet her?” Leira asked, “She’s also a mermaid, you know.”

“Sure,” Aya answered. She looked at Umako and gestured toward her wheelchair, “Would you mind?”

“Let me,” Leira offered. She wrapped the end of her tail around Aya’s body and gently lifted her from the chair and into her wheelchair. Leira invited Umako to accompany them, but before Umako could reply a blonde buxom centaur approached the table and introduced herself.

“Hi, I’m Kate,” she said. Sensing that Kate wanted to speak with Umako, Leira excused herself and escorted Aya to the kitchen.

“Sorry to barge in, but when I heard one of Serass’ friends, and a sister centaur, was visiting, I just had to say hello.”

“Serass’ friend?” Umako sputtered, spitting out a mouthful of coffee. “What makes you think I’m her friend?”

“She told me so,” Kate replied, “She speaks highly of you. She says you were the smartest person in your class, and she admires your positive spirit.”

“Friend, eh,” Umako said, unsure, “She’s always so aloof when I run into her, even a bit rude.”

“That’s how she is with everybody,” Kate assured Umako, “She likes to tease and doesn’t easily show affection. I think that’s just her nature. I’m not sure I fully understand it, but she’s a lilim, which is some sort of demon royalty.”

“Royalty? You guys talking about me? I am a lot less rude than my sisters, you know! ” Serass interjected, appearing between Kate and Umako as if she had materialized out of thin air, showing her disconcerting grin. Kate and Umako each took a big step backwards.

Umako was thoroughly confused about how to respond, especially when she remembered that on the day of the Event, Serass had mentioned that she had killed one of her sisters.

“It’s ok, Umako. Kate knows… almost everything,” Grinned Serass.

“Hello, Serass,” Kate said, exasperated at Serass’ unorthodox entry. “I was just getting acquainted with your friend.”

“Yeah, I figured you two horse’s asses would get along,” Serass laughed. “Did she tell you she’s dating a human? I thought she’d found a nice centaur mate, but apparently it didn’t work out.”

“He was a creep!” Umako protested, “All he wanted me for was sex.”

“Centaur males can be that way,” Kate said, “They have a tremendous sex drive and tend to be self-centred. It gets old pretty fast.”

“I hear Yukio hasn’t been able to get it up since that night he assaulted you,” Serass added cryptically.

“If the Event has taught us anything, it’s that your species is just the meat suit you wear; it’s the soul inside that matters,” Kate said, “If you love this boy, then that’s who you should be with.”

“I do love him,” Umako confessed, “I loved him before the Event, but I was too shy to say anything. My confidence has grown since I changed.”

“That’s normal,” Serass remarked, “It’s your centaur soul asserting itself. The beastfolk are more forward about carnal matters than humans.”

“And does he love you?” Kate asked.

“I think so,” Umako replied, “My friend is worried he’s just living out a waifu fantasy, but I don’t get that feeling. I think he was more scared of my centaur form than excited by it.”

“He has a good soul,” Serass said quietly. Before the others could question her meaning, she continued more loudly, “But how’s the SEX!” with a lascivious grin.

Umako blushed. She hesitated for a moment. Should these people she barely knew ask for such intimate details? Yet she sensed they had her best interests at heart and could be trusted.

“He works very hard to please me,” Umako replied, “and I’m sure his technique will improve with more experience. But as far as the “main event” goes, well, he does the best he can with what he has, but I don’t think it’s satisfying for either of us.”

“If only he were bigger down there,” Umako sighed.

Serass howled with laughter. When she could regain her composure, she said, “Sorry, but I was picturing the little human with a horse cock! The idea of him walking around with a third leg was too much for me! What is something aroused him while he was out in public!!”

Umako and Kate both giggled as their minds pictured what Serass was describing.

“Yes,” Umako conceded, “It’s a silly thought. If only there were some way for it to grow when we have sex and shrink back to normal afterwards.”

“Yes, if only…” Serass mumbled to herself.

At that moment, Leira and Aya returned from the kitchen.

“How was your visit?” Umako asked.

“Wonderful,” Aya gushed, “Yoko is so friendly.  We traded stories on the hassles of being a mermaid on land. She let me sample a new pastry she’s working on. It’s even better than the ones we had. She offered to show me her favourite diving spots.”

“That’s great,” Umako said. “Looks like we both made a new friend today. We really should be going, though. Our parents will be wondering why we’re not home from school yet.”

The girls said their goodbyes and left the cafe.

“You don’t think Yoko’s being too friendly with that girl, do you?” Kate asked Serass, “She is into women after all.”

“Hmph, not my problem,” Serass replied before vanishing in a cloud of oily, black tendrils. Yoko’s scream from the kitchen revealed where Serass had materialized.

“I wish just once that girl would leave the room like a normal person,” Kate sighed, recognizing that, even for a world full of mythical creatures, Serass was far from normal.
