Greetings fellow wanderers and map-seekers!
This week, we returns with three brand-new maps charting the rise of Dunfeld, our evolving settlement built on twin bluffs beside a swift-flowing river.
Inspired by the windswept grandeur of Edoras from The Lord of the Rings, Dunfeld began as a simple fortified camp during a time of turmoil. Over time, it grew into a bustling wooden town, nestled between two sacred hills—one crowned with a mead hall of chieftains, the other watching silently over a sacred grove.
We are once again very fortunate to collab with the very talented JamesRPGArt, who has done some wonderful scenery art for Dunfeld, so check that out below!

🏘️ Dunfeld Town Map
See the full town as it stands today—wood and thatch buildings gathered between two bluffs, a strong palisade encircling them, and life bustling around the riverbanks. This map captures Dunfeld at the height of its development, perfect for setting scenes of political intrigue, trade, or looming threats from the wilds.

Once again we have 4 separate phases for this map, previewed below, so you can watch it grow before your eyes!

🌲 The Shrine of Tears
Tucked into the sacred grove, this small stone-and-timber chapel predates even the town itself. Said to be the place where a weeping seeress foretold a great doom, the shrine holds a still, unfailing pool whispered to offer visions to the grief-stricken. Locals believe the grove listens—and sometimes, answers.

🍻 Breganhold Hall
Formerly Bregan’s fortified camp, now a great timbered mead hall, Breganhold Hall stands tall above Dunfeld, draped in banners and lore. It is the seat of power, where oaths are sworn, songs are sung, and secrets often whispered.

Visions in the Grove: A grieving widow claims to have seen a vision in the Shrine of Tears—one of fire and shadow consuming the town. Was it prophecy... or madness?
The Gathering Threat: Rumors of an old rival clan gathering in the hills stir unrest. Can the fractured folk of Dunfeld hold together, or will history repeat itself?
