Milestone Map Medley - Map Poll

Hi all!

It's about that time again to vote on next months maps, however this poll is a little different.

As many of you will know we hit 1000 patrons for the first time last month and to mark the occasion I announced a Milestone Map Medley!

Long story short I have been taking map suggestions from you fine folks to fill out next months poll.

We will then produce the 4 maps with the most votes :)

There have been some great suggestions (and some mad ones) and you can find the blurs written below.

Voting closes Saturday 30th Sept 5pm GMT.

Cheers!

George

Mansion of the Trickster

A massive mansion filled with hidden rooms, secret passageways and props that would be ideal for a murder mystery, gala or hunt for a vampire. Join the feast but what is this, count Evermore has been stabbed in the cigar lounge? Were it those adventurers or can they find proof it was someone else?

Tutorial of the Blind

A house in a custom made Bag of Holding, that is a training ground for newly established Adventurers and is maintained by a powerful mage and his magical clones, the clones double down as the monsters.  Visually the map is broken up in 5 parts, however, since it's fully magical in nature, it looks like it "annoys" the natural order

Train Fight!

Long, narrow battlemap of a train with steam locomotive, coal car, dining car, a couple passenger cars, and a caboose. Parallel maps for in-car level and top-of-car level, allowing al fresco shootouts and high-action hijackings. Have your Deadlands great train robbery encounter, your old-school rail heist, or remake The Train Job from Firefly...

The Vault of Souls

An infernal vault that could be associated with your blackstone castle. It would be a highly fortified/trapped area under that castle that is used to keep infernal contracts. Purpose of the map would be a high level Heist with a potential boss battle.

A Magical Meltdown

The Crystalline Reactor powering the Mad Mage’s underground hideout has begun to overheat and melt down!  Will the many winding corridors radiating from the reactor room lead to the supplies needed to quell the impending explosion, or to magically mutated monstrosities?  A radial map with a central reactor room connected to key areas like a control room, storage areas, an energy distribution center, and many experimentation chambers containing fell magics within.

The Cursed Citadel of Gond

This proud fortress was once the home of a clan Zirid. Located close to a quarry in a secluded valley, it embodied the pinnacle of clan Zirid’s art of shaping stone and crafting great wonders, like their sacred grove of stone at the heart of the citadel. The few descendants of clan Zirid that still live in the area centuries later do not dare to enter the old fortress. Something evil lurks there.

Castle Greyshore

Ruined castle for undead and/or kraken cult. Built on a cliffside, halfway to actually breaking apart and falling down into the water. Sections connected by rope bridges, big waves/sharp rocks beneath (or the maw of a kraken)

Stonehenge

A large stonehenge with a sacrificial altar in the middle, set on different terrains like grassland, forest etc.

The Evil Cheese Factory

With Cow barn and pasture fields nearby, a room for curdling the milk and working it, a room for draining and molding, a salting room, a very large maturing cellar and of course a tasting area and shop for customers.

At night, hooded people enter through a secret entrance located under the large Cheese Bell, joining underground rooms (usual alchimist and Magic stuff, laboratory,...) to continue their evil experiments in order to create... An elemmenthal (Yes, an elemental made of Cheese...)

Island of the Elves

An island that has been concealed from the outside world by the magics of the Elves. It as a beauty to behold, both above and below the waves. Above the waves, the Wood Elves live in the forest that surround the High Elves city, while below the sea is the realm of the Sea Elves. Both parts of the island resonate with Elven beauty and charm.

The Remade Fortress

A large fortified settlement that was clearly ruined and had been patched up multiple times by scavenging things from the buildings and ruins surrounding it. Living quarters enough for soldiers and their families are inside along with training grounds and makeshift weapons to attack beseigers. Underneath, a hidden exit through so that people can leave and gather the materials they need to keep patching up the fortification generation after generation

The Rookery

A large dark fortress/cathedral- graveyard/mausoleum devoted to the followers of the Raven Queen in her aspect of Goddess of Death and Secrets. Blackwing Paladins and Sisters of Secrets reside, train, worship, recruit, and stand vigilant against undead and undeath in all forms.

Hamirfell Ranch

A retired Paladin and landed knight began breeding and training Warhorses of all types on his demesne. The lands he watches over are a well defended mountain valley that borders civilized lands and less hospitable reaches. His family and men-at-arms are all heavily involved in the endeavor of breeding and training the mounts. Many a Paladin-Warhorse/Companion Steed has come from the Hamirfell Ranch and high gentry pay handsomely for a mount of the line...  A moderate sized lodge/ranchhouse/fortified farm/ large many stalled stables/ training rings and grounds...

Shipwrights of Draknirjar

A rocky and rustic beachside shipyard with several small buildings, and colorful sailcloth tents, but most prevalent are the viking-esque ships (in varying phases of completion) seemingly growing in haphazard form and location along the beach... each with its own direct line to the water upon completion... a single long pier/dock with room for only two longships to tie up at a time... A central hearth/foundry and forge... all of Draknirjar (dragonborne) design.

The Harbor Quarter

A multi-purpose map of docking area, maybe one contor-warehouse and neaby club/tavern and same backalleys behind

Comments

the Mansion is the winner :) Rookery is also still in the running as it tied with 2 others! Holding a run off election in discord as we speak :)

George Mason

The Mansion would be exciting, because it's Halloween month!

Daniel S.

Aww it says the poll closed. But you can count me in for 'The Rookery', 'Mansion of the Trickster', and the 'Cursed Citadel of Gond'. In that order. Some cool ideas!
