Az'ea's casting a new spell...

I expect this CG to show up in the next release, so it's time to show it off! One of my personal favourites from Sommelier.
This is also a scene I'm just generally really proud of, so I hope you'll enjoy it too. The way the Az'ea story goes is one of my favourite parts of the game.
Upcoming releases - the village screen!
After the big effort that went into finishing the intro, we're in a little bit of a transitional mode this month. The next release will have some new content, but a lot of the work we're doing right now is on elements needed for future months.
In particular, there's supposed to be a "village screen" (technically Greenwood is a "town" by Mediaeval standards, but I think "village" is catchier) that you'll be able to access for more upgrades, a merchant and some other things.
We need to set that up carefully, testing performance and seeing how it'll function in the game, as well as setting up the animations, which is all probably going to take some of our work time in the background over the next couple of months, so we'll have to be a little less ambitious for the next couple of releases while we beaver away on that as well. :)

Thanks, I do appreciate getting feedback on the plans because it's pretty hard to get a response most of the time. :D Also, yeah, I just love this CG, even if it's not porn. :) The village is pretty important to the gameplay in the design we created - not essential so we're still figuring out whether we're 100% certain to use it - but pretty important for exactly the reasons you say.

Secondly, I think the idea with the village is very good, it means there is more to do and you can also use the gold differently. Plus if you build a good relationship with the village you might be able to get better deals. A lot of good things can come from this. Im looking forward to it.
