Status update: Animation previews, noise debugging, post processing and corrections

Hello, my dear Freshmen!


This week we had a lot of progress in fine-tuning our animation systems. Specifically, we fixed a lot of issues with noise, and now have noise free animations! This also led us to understand more about denoising, lighting and render settings.


Another important development was that we brought our animation preview channels back on Discord, so now you'll have access to all animations in progress, and can give us feedback in real time.

A few image improvements were also applied and automated, such as sharpening filters and a slight motion blur for animations.

While me, Oppai and code3D were focused on improving animations, the rest of the team was creating scenes and improving lighting and color correction through all of episode 6.


Here's what we've got so far:

As soon as these 30 animations are done rendering, Alpha 50% will be released for a few testers. After corrections, Beta 50%. And then Alpha 100%, Beta 100% and finally, full release of episode 6.


These past few weeks have been very exciting. As we progress through episode 6 and review our work with attention and an open heart, I can see it take form more and more and become a very special chapter in our history. I can't wait to share it with you. A few more weeks and we'll be ready.
