Dear Members,
It is finally time. The following feature has been requested since the very old days where the Goal Mode in the BOTW Randomizer celebrated its debut. I am happy to announce that Version 1.5.0 raises the Goal Mode to its peak - every goal has a dedicated quest now, including a description what to do, a progress counter, as well as quest markers that show you the way to the goal. Furthermore, the quest progress is updated in real-time so you no longer have to manually check your goals via the Randomizer menu - for anyone that still wants to do that, that option will remain.
This update is all about this new feature so let me get into a few more details here. The quest markers that show you the way to the goals will show you the closest goal locations to the origin of the world, meaning the middle of the world, to make it as convenient as possible to you, not having to go to the very bottom left and very top right of the world because certain quest markers would say so. Of course, this can sometimes be the case if for example you have to defeat 5 Frost Gleeoks but there are only 3 in the game - only those 3 quest markers will be shown. Please also note that quests do not support more than 5 quest markers - luckily, this is not an issue since all common goals do not require you to get more than 5 of the same thing. Note that about 80-90% of all goals have quest markers, but some goals simply can't be tracked, such as some Items (if they can't be found in the world itself) since they are randomized of course. Also, quest markers for goals where you have to complete quests will first show the location of the quest, and once you reached that location and the quest giver spawned in, the quest marker will dynamically track the NPC's location (similar to the Light Dragon Master Sword's quest) so you know exactly with whom you have to speak with to start the quest!
Something important at the end - because of the complex and unique nature of this update, this and the following updates will be Patreon-exclusive until the end of the year instead of just three weeks. Your Patreon membership is therefore more worthy than usual - I wanted to let you know so you can plan in advance whether you want to keep your membership for longer.
Thank you for your time reading through this and I'll see you in the showcase streams this week on my YouTube channel - I will be setting up premieres that will display your local time when the streams are about to start! https://www.youtube.com/@Waikuteru/streams
🌟I hope you are looking forward to this update! I will be streaming the update this week on my YouTube channel to both showcase it and to make sure there are no issues before releasing likely it on Sunday.
