There's not much to tell, but the long silence is not good for this page. It needs to be stroked and brushed, then it will purr... Uh, to the point!

First, the unpleasant. Touch and forget.

My energy situation here has not improved. In fact, it's creeping worse. The lights go off at random times of the day and night, for a random number of hours, and the periods between the blackouts are gradually getting shorter, while the time of the blackouts themselves, on the contrary, is increasing. So there you go, working conditions. And it's been already a month, so it looks like it's going to last for a long time.

Well, enough about that. I mean it. You have understood the situation, and to write about it every time is pretty depressing. So I'm putting a moratorium on this topic. I'll only write about it if the situation gets really bad. Or, who knows, gets better? Sooo... That's it, snaping the switch and activating shush moratorium!

1.7 or why it takes so long to finish 10% of the content.

In brief, because it's not a literal 10%. In general and overall 1.7 will be a pretty much normal update, just not a big one, like 1.3 was (for those, who remember).

How that's happening? When I plan certain events in a chapter, I divide them into conditional episodes. Like, this will happen in 1.6, and this will happen in 1.7, and these events will happen in 1.8 and 1.9, and here I will finish the chapter, and it will be 2.0. Naturally, I don't "see" literally every event, every phrase of dialog, etc. It's more of a general outline. In the process, I also tend to add one thing or another to each episode as I work on it. Because of that, they often grow significantly from what was originally planned.

So all these designations are conditional. The number 1.7 just means that the episode will end in the place I originally planned. But the path to that point has been seriously expanded. For example, the hunters were originally going to be a largely faceless mass. But in the process, I realized that it wouldn't work for immersion that way. So I added some elaborate characters. Now, they need a place to show themselves and a chance to interact, even if only a little, with Selene. Yep, one thing pulls the other... And so, there's a lot more work, and the episode has seriously grown. But I can't label it as 1.8, because there are other events planned for 1.8 that are also supposed to happen in this chapter, as well as 1.9 and 2.0. So it remains number 1.7, except that its size has grown, and quite substantially.

What's in store for this 1.7 and is it worth waiting for?

Well, there will be two lewd scenes. Or rather, one is for sure, and one is still in question... But I'm kinda already tuned in to it, so if nothing indicates to me that it's undesirable, that scene will be there as well. Yes, yes, now some of you are going to tell me it's not that important, but… Сome on! I know it's not a porn game, but I still think a lot of people will like these scenes. After all, stripping off the protagonist's sexuality is the mainstream way. And what we have here is a small (550k words, not so small anymore...) yes-yes, a small author's project. One can afford to move away from mainstream near-erotica (at best) into something more detailed and realistic, without falling into a swamp of porn, meaningless and merciless.

Also Meralion. But that's if he's alive (in terms of current content, he better be). And some of the hunters need to be shown a bit, I didn't work them out for nothing. Plus, I've already buried (and will burrow some more) some interesting points in the optional dialogues. Something like a trail of breadcrumbs. But where does it lead? Hmm, let's just say that exposition for exposition's sake is evil. Everything I add, everything I draw your attention to, serves the story. But not everything will be revealed right away or anytime soon.
