Added 2022-06-30 17:00:07 +0000 UTCAs a life-long Star Wars fan, this feels a little like blasphemy, but I've been on a real big Star Trek kick lately. Pluto.tv, my streaming channel of choice, has a 24/7 TNG channel that makes for good background noise, and it's right up there with Bob Ross in terms of great "chilling out before going to bed" watching. And about a week ago, I decided to check out "Lower Decks", the new animated Trek comedy series that I had originally written off as a cheap "Rick & Morty" cash-in but turns out is actually really great! And Tendi, the Orion medical ensign, was an immediate favorite. To quote Rutherford, my other favorite character, "SHE'S JUST SO CUTE!"
I've never been particularly driven to draw NSFW Trek stuff. For as horny as the series gets, and boy does it when you really sit down and watch it, it's always triggered the same part of my brain as, like, watching your parents flirt. It just feels awkward to me. But Tendi's sweet personality and my innate sci-fi fan love of strangely colored women was enough to make this drawing inevitable.
