May Sketch Suggestions

The theme for May is... ANI-MAY!

Hahaha! Get it? Ani-May! Like, anime and, you know, May, which is, uh, the month that it is. I mean, it's funny because.... well, not funny "Ha Ha", but more like..... 

Okay, so I've been sitting on that dumb pun for a while now, so it was going to happen anyway, but it kinda got a bit of extra significance when Animarathon got canceled this year due to Covid-19. Animarathon is a relatively small, but still pretty fun anime show in North-East Ohio. I did it for two years and always had a good time - generally speaking, I think anime shows have a more fun atmosphere than comic shows - so I was pretty disappointed last year when I didn't make the cut to get in. It was especially weird because just the year before, one of the guys running it had told me what a big fan he was of me and there was even some talk of me doing some official art for the show. Unfortunately, it's a student run show, and the guy that liked me so much graduated, so I guess his replacement wasn't as into me. Anyway, I did get in this year, so it was supposed to be my triumphant return, but the show was scheduled right when everything was starting to shut down, so I ended up missing out on it anyway! And just to rub salt in the wound, my other anime show this year, Anime Ohio, is still kinda in the danger zone. It hasn't canceled yet, and Ohio is supposedly "reopening the economy" starting next week, but if San Diego Comic Con in July is canceled, I'm not feeling especially confident for Anime Ohio in June. 

Wow, sorry for the tangent. Lock down has my mood swinging even more than usual lately. lol Anyway, that's all to say that I'm very much eager to talk about and draw some freakin' anime. So, Shonen Jump on down to the comments, strike a JoJo pose, and tell me about your favorite anime, if you've seen any good ones lately, and most of all - what anime character(s) you'd like to see me draw. Or don't. I don't care. It's not like I like you or anything. Baka!
