Wrote 4k words today!!

I've been averaging about 3-4k words every writing session, which I am very, very happy about!!!! The second draft of the last part of Chapter 3 is going really well.

I was mistaken last week about how much time I needed to recover — one day didn't cut it. I tried writing Monday, but nothing would come out. After an hour, I just had to admit to myself that I needed one more day of rest. So, I began writing the Patreon content on Wednesday, and it took the rest of the week.

This means, unfortunately, I only began writing the second draft this Monday, but the words have been flying off the keyboard 😊. Today, I surpassed the halfway mark of the first big scene of the update (there are 3 scenes, if you remember, although the last one is only 6 pages long).

The goal for next week is to finish scene one! The initial 30 or so pages of this scene were the ones with the most branching, so the rest should be much quicker. I didn't mind the branching, though, because I've enjoyed working on the paths I didn't write in the first draft. That conversation with Hadrian was a complete surprise for me, as well as a few other interactions and choices.

But, as I said, the rest of the way is pretty much all written down, except a small scene or two, which means I am pretty sure I'll accomplish my goal (and pass it 🤫).
