agree with you on a lot! woochan and youngseo really hard carrying both songs for me so far. Kinda meh on Tarzan and annie your impression of kpop badabadabing kinda rapping has me dead lmaooo

2025-06-26 00:26:38 +0000 UTCi liked famous a lot better than this one, it felt a little lackluster at parts but i still like the song ! especially woochan’s verse, the chorus and the choreography. it’s so goated to literally have a renowned choreographer on your team making the dances for you. like that is such an advantage bcs she knows all of them so well that she’ll know exactly what looks good for whom. so far i really like this group and the fact that they are already breaking such huge records in korea?? like korea LOVES them and i’m so glad to see that.

(not that he doesn’t anyways, his facecard is insane.) and again, i agree with your take on the verse’s. i didn’t like annie’s first verse, nor did i like tarzzan’s second verse. 😩 i wish woochan had two rap verses and they gave youngseo a second singing part. but it’s still early and they are already wowing me.

2025-06-25 20:25:08 +0000 UTCI liked Famous a lot more than Wicked for sure. I personally really see potential in the group if they play on all of their personal strengths!! Give Woochan longer verses, let Youngseo sing more. Let Bailey, if she doesn't already, have a hand in the choreography. Annie's voice is really interesting, and they could do a lot with it if they wanted to. I'll be honest Tarzaan is a weak link for me so far in the group. I think he has mad potential, though, he just needs to figure himself out a little bit. The other three have a bit of an advantage on him because they are all more experienced in the industry. He's only "modeled" in MVs, and it shows on screen. I think if the BlackLabel plays it a little smarter, this group could be really cool!!

That would probably be my critique the two songs are too similar they should have showed different charms in each release but ofc there's clearly a concept that the black label wants for them so they're sticking to it. My main concerns for the group are this: We're two songs in and I don't know what their specialty is going to be. YG (and by association the black label) has often had a habit of not actually caring that their trainees are the top vocalists like SM or the top dancers. Their bag has mostly been the stage presence, charisma or being a musical genius and it's really the newer gen groups like Treasure and Baemon where they've adopted more of the modern focus on choreo and or vocals. I say all that because this group certainly has that charisma but it all feels kind of uneven. Bailey is by far and away the best dancer obviously . Their choreo attempts to hide it (and she participates in making it which is smart) but I can still tell that the dance talent varies a lot within the group. I don't get the feel like they've trained together for a long time to be very polished. They haven't shown that they're going to be particularly vocal focused and so I feel like we really need multiple members going absolutely nuts with either the rap or the dance. It kind of feels like they plan to swag it out while the members develop their skills.
