Game of Thrones 6x10 - WHO IS HIS DADDY?!

Crazy crazy stuff in this episode. It starts and it just never stops. I'm glad that my memory faded a bit because of course I remembered what happened at me Sept but the drama of it and the fact that it was a uninterrupted first 12ish minutes sequence of the show hit like it was the first time. Tommen really never had a chance. RIP. Another RIP to Margery, truly one of my favorite characters in all of GOT. If Cersei didn't hit the nuclear code I think she would have bested her in the end but Alas no one could have anticipated how completely ruthless she would become. I really wonder if Cersei thinks it's worth it now but I guess at this point she has no choice but to go full force for power since she has nothing left. No Jamie has no claim to the throne. Even cersei's claim only comes through being the former queen from being married to King Rob and then through her son's being kings. Technically her claim to the throne is extremely shaky. We know Westeros doesn't love Queens anyways and technically I guess it would go to Robert's next of kin but Gendry is his only remaining child and would people really accept that? The fact that the Jon reveal was also in this same episode is wild I definitely did not recall that. Such a pivotal moment and another long held theory from the book that people waited like 20+ years to confirm. Ned had such a strong love for his sister that he basically took that hit to his honor and forever changed his relationship with his wife and family to hold that secret.

Yeah I saw someone theorize that Shireens death was the life that paid for Jons life. If this is true I'd like to think there's a part of Shireen getting to live Jons adventures and having the time of her life

i feel so much sadder about tommen on this rewatch than i did on first watch. i guess on first watch i was thinking more about cersei... like haha look at you what you did dummy, was it worth it? but now i'm thinking more about him & how the poor kid never had a chance ☹️ i liked tommen a lot. it's one of my favorite scenes though - the silence, taking the crown off, no hesitation, no emotion, like almost peaceful, and the "for house lannister" right after hiiiits. cersei is just fully delusional at this point. at least before she was a mother who loved her kids, now she's just... a psychopath. & i had the same question about her being crowned queen, so i read all kinds of detailed explanations on reddit lmao. the overall consensus is that she basically crowned herself queen, she didn't inherit it - she claimed it. because well, she just killed anyone who could have challenged her lol (or that's what the show wants you to believe, but i call bad writing in this instance. cersei has NO supporters, i don't believe it would have went without any pushback)

Yeah little finger is just trying to sow seeds of dispute between sansa and jon , it is ofc more beneficial for him if sansa is lady of winterfell since he wants to make her his🤢 also jaime not only doesnt have a valid claim to the throne being a lannister and not a baratheon, he is a kings guard, so he cannot bear any other titles, wed any women or father any children.

Basically little finger was telling Sansa to lay claim to the north that they would only want to follow a real stark , and also the crown wouldn’t pass to Jaime because “technically” tommen was a baratheon with no children or siblings so it went to the kings mother, queen regent Cercei

I didnt even realize Arya’s revenge on walder frey was in this episode🤡 this episode was full of epic revenges. I have a theory about shireen. I believe shireen dying actually did have a purpose. I think Jon coming back to life demanded that another innocent life was sacrificed. I dont think Melissandre was wrong in reading the lord of light’s demands but she has been wrong about “the prince who was promised” being stannis. but i think all that with stannis had to happen for the grand scheme of things which is cruel but fits the tone of the show.

Look im sorry but Cersei was a GOAT for this. 🥴 A villain, sure, but that was the most epic revenge. They messed with the wrong woman, fcked around and found out. Lannisters always pay their debts as they say🤡👏🏾👏🏾 she took out the entire faith millitant root and stem, including the tyrells, and the small council, all at once. Season 6 was her slow descent but in the finale she flipped the whole script! And i may be a terrible person for saying this but it’s a tv show — i was not sorry to see tommen go🙏🏽 we’ve seen cersei the queen mother whose most defining trait was her love for her children, now we have to wonder what she looks like as a reigning queen who has nothing but hate🤡
