No rush, and I really should be leaving more comments anyway, but I did want to ask! I went from having little opinion of Alain to being super into him a few months ago and i'm eager for more.

(∩ ͡ ° ʖ ͡ °) ⊃-(===> It's implied that both the twins get utilized by their family, but due to their background I wonder just how much of their respective restrictions are due to gender. It's been noted in the comments already their different outlook to the burdens of authority and it seems while Ysabella would excel, or at least accept the position- there seems to be expectations of a lady of the court holding her back, that she has to maneuver around in her own way. Alain and the cage again; it surprised me last time and it still did when mentioned again- put him in the pile of 'possessive when they actually have someone to care about' with Neia, Rafael, and Vallen. Also wondering how much of that aspect of him is a result of the noble upbringing with how much loss is on the line at any given moment, something already seen with the Stones. The volatile game of the powerful will always be the constant balance of not only gaining but maintaining, and in the back of every authority figure's head is the nightmare of what you have being taken from you. People aren't exempt in that.

2024-09-22 09:53:38 +0000 UTCthats so exciting to hear!!! really even just having the name and gender choice already adds so much to immersion. i love this abstract format exactly because it allows you to play with things outside what romanus knows/things that wont come up in game/hypotheticals. so feelings about the crown had me going 👀👀👀👀 i really love the little contrasts between alain/ysabella that paint such a a good portrait of the characters

2024-09-22 03:00:18 +0000 UTCYeah, maybe I shouldn't have set the dream so near the actual in-game time xD But it was meant to be very clearly a dream, with the clothes disappearing and objects appearing out of nowhere, as well as faceless people. But, most importantly, I wanted to push their personalities to extremes. The things the twins said and how they said it they wouldn't necessarily do it while in the real world. But yeah, I maybe should have set it in a future where you were already their lover

It also makes sense for Bella's dream too since there's no way Romanus would know how truly genuine her heart is. They'd just know her as a demure but mischievous minx who likes to have some scandalous fun in the taverns from time to time.

I then thought how nice it could be if the reader picked the gender, so the text isn't all confusing and put it in choicescript! It's why the only choices are at the end, as kind of a wink to you 😆 Next story, I'll add a little bit more choices! Nothing crazy (I'd rather write real choices in the game) but something a little more interactive

If this was in-game, then Romanus absolutely would have dreamed about a charming flirt that you should probably never take too seriously or you risk getting your heart broken. I had more liberties here, and had a bit of fun xD Alain's part was going to be very different but the story kind took a different course. So, yeah, Romanus doesn't know anything specific about Alain yet^^ Plus, game Alain doesn't think like this. This is very deep romance for sure. For now, he *is* a flippant hedonist that doesn't care much about the world!

2024-09-21 20:54:21 +0000 UTCWell, this was a very fun surprise! It's so fitting that we got a Romanus dreaming about Bella and Alain after we saw their dreams in the last Q&A. What I find fascinating is that even after only a couple meetings, Romanus subconsciously can tell how possessive Alain can be. Obviously, we know since we've seen the stories and the intimate alphabet, but as far as Romanus knows, Alain is a flippant seducer who treats the world casually. It leads me to ask, is this what Romanus hopes Alain is like, are the fates sending them a sign, or do they know deep in their hearts that Alain's front is just that, a front? I swear I could write a thesis on this sparrow loving noble, his character's just so much fun to analyze.

And the theme is fenomoenal! 🥰 I know this is a Romanus' dream but it's not the first time Alain expressed possessiveness over Romanus and it's always so funny to me the juxposition of his possessivnes with how he presents himself. Ysabella as always is a delight woth each snippet I love her more and more 💕
