Mona lisa hit harder for me, this song though hits harder live. It may not be on my spotify replays but it’s one of the live performances im gonna always look forward to🤪

i do like sweet dreams more but i am loving this song the more i listen to it! i do agree with you in the beginning though, some fans just don’t really like some features that the boys have but i know some people on twitter who won’t even give features chances at all and automatically call it trash and say they’ll wait for a solo version :/ it sucks

Personally I think that they make solo versions cause if the feature can’t perform with them live so they have the solo versions to perform live. And use it like in this video for the choreography cause glos part probably wasn’t needed for the choreography part (even though it would have been nice to see if they would make a choreo for her part too). But idk, I personally liked both versions! I listen to the one with glo more on like Spotify but since I really enjoyed the performances it just happens that I listen to the solo version too so I can see the dance. And my favourite out of the 3 is still Mona Lisa but I liked this performance/choreography the most I think! Ps. Your dancing to the song killed me (respectfully) I literally laughed out loud at your version of the last hip thrusts 😭😂

The way I personally read into the "Solo versions"'s of songs is for performative reasons. When the feature can't perform the song live with the artist, they have an alternate version to turn to. So, this was my first time watching the Choreo video! I kid you not—we made eye contact and burst into laughter at the same time! I, in fact, did not recognize the details in the dance, while watching the MV. I LIVE for the Jhope and I think her name is Alyssa (Someone correct me if I'm wrong) Duo dance!! I love the way that they look at each other!! I'm living vicariously through her. I 100% agree with you! I wish he had written an ending verse. But I understand he wants to show off the performative aspect of the song at the end.

never wanted to be a white woman this bad

Ok I’m on break for like 5 minutes 😅 Didn’t vibe with this one. if I had to pick Mona Lisa might be the best and I ain’t even vibe with Mona Lisa either😂 but it’s a slow grower for sure. Honestly my fav solo hobi era was hope world still 😂 I have 2 songs from Jack in the box. a casual solo listener fan all members but way more than I thought I would be for hobi. Kookie has him/ the rest beat solo wise of his 1 project for me as a listener

i remember when mona lisa dropped and each week i'd be opening twitter to see his performance getting more and more freaky. little did i know, he was preparing it all for this song

I'm saying! I can also agree that some features haven't hit in the past but they're making great progress with them as of late. It just makes me wonder annoyingly... That perspective helps too though (2/3). Remixes funnel to og, charting etc. Makes sense!

I love both versions but I do listen to the one with Glo more....and you're not mistaken haha there's 2 girls with red hair so yes she was behind him and then there's another girl in the front. But yeah the choreo and song 👏🏽🔥

I like this train of thought at the beginning. I think there are a few reasons for the solo versions. 1) I think you're right. K-pop fans can be weirdly territorial and not want to listen to any artist that isn't their fave. Sometimes they legitimately don't think the feature fits ( + tbh we did get some pretty bad features in the early days of k-pop collaborations) not to mention there are the fans who don't want to admit its racially motivated but always seem to have a problem when the kpop artist features with a black artist... 2) it helps with music show promotions. Since the Western artists won't usually be able to be in Korea to go on the weekly shows like m countdown inki etc. they can just go perform their solo version. 3) it helps with streams. Same logic is why artists release a bunch of trash remixes these days. They know their fans will listen to every version at least once and the song will chart higher.
