I mean a lot of these villages have bad blood with each other so having all these genins together becomes a lot like a show of strength for each village and nation they are associated with,, and you cant expect there not to be minor and major scuffles,, as we seen with zabuza who was from hidden mist village, some of these villages have a very brutal way of training their ninjas and have different mindsets about how ninjas are meant to act of what’s ok for them to do.. the chunin exams also as they’ve pointed out last episode is an exam where genins literally lose their lives so provoking other genin before the exam even starts, i have to say isnt very smart, i’d not be trying to draw all that attention to myself,, i think the way lee’s team is staying low key, keeping their cards close to their chest, is the better way to play it.
