This season was so good, I didn’t read the manhwa but did some research while watching the season, apparently things were changed like baekjin wasn’t killed/controlled by a boss and suho wakes up in the manhwa but isn’t seen again until the very end so I wonder how the story Is gonna go with continuing it and the changes, overall loved both weak hero dramas

For what this was, building on the first season, I thought it was good, but I don’t think it would have been as meaningful if season 1 hadn’t had happened, left me wondering like you were how impactful suho and that background was in the webtoon

2025-05-03 01:21:15 +0000 UTCThis was a really enjoyable season season. I can understand it doesn't have the same punch (literally) as season 1 but it's building on the elements of season 1. I feel like it was so important to spend so much time with Si-Eun in his sadness and see how he developed because of what happened to him and because of these new friendships. Although I haven't read the webtoon I can agree it does feel like even two additional episodes would have allowed us to flesh some things out. The season felt very fast and I wanted to understand the motivation of characters like Baek-jin and Seongjae more, they felt a little two dimensional although I can fill in the blanks. As soon as they said Baek-jin disappeared my mind jumped straight to they got him out of there. But I didn't think we would actually get the confirmation I thought he would just never be seen again. It's sad, he was simultaneously in a position of power while also being the most vulnerable person in the Union. Being at the top of the Union is just being at the bottom of a real gang and he takes the blame if shit goes south. Suho waking up is everything I could have asked for and more I remember in season 1 reading that the webtoon hadn't gotten there yet and so I was really scared that he just stayed asleep forever as part of Si-eun's tragic backstory or something. I couldn't care less what the plot of season 3 is going to be - I want it 🤣.

Really liked the season but like squid games I'm torn on the finale. The connection in season 1 can't be beat. Eunjang might have the numbers but the other group have like more professional fighters imo. I'm not into anime but the brutal fights they had was enough.

And we finally saw sieun smile 😭😭 But I can’t believe that they killed beak jin, like he was just a high school kid and I was kind of looking forward to seeing him change cause we saw a glimpse during his and Bakus fight. You manifested that ant when you talked about his boss 😭But I really hope that there will be a season 3 cause I really love this show and loved this season! Like you said s1 and 2 showed different things but I really enjoyed both! I hope that if they do s3 that we’ll see Baku and suho interacting cause they are so alike and likeable! I hope the whole new gang and suho get along and make our boy sieun smile as much as possible!! 🙏😭 I literally binged your s1 reactions yesterday and just finished your s2 reactions, and I really enjoyed it ant! It was really funny and nice binging it with you!!

2025-05-02 21:27:13 +0000 UTCbaekjin dying literally shattered my heart into a thousand pieces. 😭 like i truly believe that after the fight he would have changed/started going down the right path. you can even feel it during the fight, the hesitance he had to hurt baku, there was a few moments he looked genuinely worried for baku, the shared little smile they had. like ): bro. he did not deserve that ending and i should’ve seen it coming bcs the boss did say he was going to kill him if he had to come back but it still shocked me sm. 💔 also can we please just think abt the fact that he knew that sieun went against their promise, was still friends with baku and was actively going at the union yet he NEVER touched suho even though he knew where he was. 💔 he was a good kid, he just got too deep into the gang. </3 and btw you didn’t seem to catch it but baekjin was an orphan! the place he was donating to and sending gifts to was his old orphanage. he was sending money and gifts for the kids there </3

2025-05-02 21:25:14 +0000 UTCme & my broken leg were not having fun anytime sieun went for someone's shin with those knuckles 😭 that one expression baekjin gave baku during the fight, the smile/about to cry/you're my best friend/i hate you was SO GOOD. like i literally had to pause & sit there just thinkin for a minute when it happened lmao. i feel like their story didn't get to reach it's full potential, coulda been really interesting. i'm sureee we will be getting another season. i'd usually be against it, but as long as we get more suho, i'll take it. (btw squid game s3 is apparently coming out next month??)

So happy to see Suho 😭😭😭😭 I hope if they do a season 3 Suho joins their group. Hope it won't be too hard because I know Sieun moved so he's not close to the old school anymore. But yeah I want to see what Seong-je will do 👀.

2025-05-02 17:44:18 +0000 UTCI feel this season is not as strong as the first season. It was still good, and I still thoroughly enjoyed it and the characters that it introduced. BUT I did start reading the webtoon, and even being 50 chapters in, I think Netflix should have made season 2 AT LEAST 12 episodes, preferably 16 episodes. They still would have to leave things out, but 8 episodes is just not enough for even the 50 chapters I have read so far. 8 episodes worked for season one because it is based around only a couple of chapters throughout the webtoon. They were able to fill in details when needed, making the 1st season work w/ the number of episodes they had. OR they could have gone into more detail and had a season 3 anyway!! I usually think that I miss kdramas w/ 16 episodes and then being done, and I do. But there are exceptions to this thought, and Weak Hero is one of them. I really hope we get a season 3 with Suho being a part of the group. I really want to see him reading Sihyun's text messages. And I want to see him having a conversation w/ Baku!! However, I do not want to wait another 3 years! So if they are going to do it ( JIhoon hinted at a season 3), I hope that they start the process for filming it soon.

2025-05-02 16:45:18 +0000 UTCNow I wasn't paying attention to the boss boss plot towards the end when i originally watched on this last ep, so I couldn't piece together that he most likely killed Baekjin 😂 so his death felt so random to me in that moment. But one thing I did miss (we got he just wanted/missed Baku rah rah rah) or the main word I forgot to use is i didn't realize jin trying to force Baku in the union was his way of asking for help. He wanted to be SAVED by Baku again as he had in childhood. he didn't know how to reach out to Baku other than all the extra threatening, not just Baku, but his family, friends, put them through all that, etc. like I knew/we say Jin was clearly being “controlled” by boss boss but that still never really clicked to me as to wait maybe thats why he needed baku outside of just missing him. and then to see in his eyes how clealry he wanted to stop fighting his friend, and even that smile him and baku gave each other mid fight. ughh just ask for help y'all 😂
