Yeah the monologues in this particular episode are quite strong.
Firstly a small explanation for part of cersei's prophecy which is truly not a show spoiler It's clear in the books but when Cersei went to this fortune teller / witch Tywin had engaged her to Rhaegar Targaryen so when she asks "Will I marry the prince?" She's asking about rhaegar who she had a crush on. But the response is you will marry the king which is basically vaguely saying that she will actually marry Robert after the rebellion succeeds and he becomes king. You heard the stuff about their children already but I thought that was an interesting way of showing that the seer was correct but Cersei could not have understood what it meant at that point.
Also when you were having your talk about how it feels wrong to have stanis come in and impose his religion and way out of life on the wildlings it just has so many parallels to colonialism and the way certain religions have been spread in real history. Again, I definitely think that's on purpose the author of the books is quite outspoken on saying that real life wars and histories make up a good part of his inspiration.
In terms of the songs "the rains of castamere" is mentioned in the book as the Lannisters victory song with the same story that Cersei told to Marjory about them obliterating their rival family but the actual audio was all made up for the show. So it's kind of like if you read the book you can now hear the interpretation of what the song was supposed to sound like.

The prophecy always makes me a bit sad for her children. They never stood a chance :(

Yeah, there's a big difference between canon compliant nudity and making everything sexual for the sake of making it sexual. like With the Dothraki and a lot of the women just having their chests out because it isn't seen as shameful I think it's fine and actually refreshing but there's way more sexual nudity than not

having characters naked unnecessarily... or, for example, the infamous scene in season 1 where littlefinger explains his past randomly while he makes those girls have sex & their moaning is just goin crazy in the background lmao... is a popular criticism for GOT. especially in earlier seasons.
people call it "sexposition" (sex + exposition), a character monologuing information to the viewer, but i guess the creators don't want people to get bored, so they make the scene sexual for no reason 😒

"Dracarys" is the High Valyrian command for "Dragonfire"
Drogon = named after Khal Drogo
Rhaegal = named after her Oldest Brother Rhaegar
Viserion = named after her other brother Viserys
Yeah Danys fault is not looking into her House Histories and the Histories of the Dragons. No inclination what so ever 🤦♀️🤷♀️🫶
Keep up the epic work 🤩

You should keep tabs on the opening every once in a while or when something big happens in the story. You’ll notice that the house sigil will change in each place based on who is occupying each place. It’s really cool how they
update the opening to go with the story
It’s crazy how on point maggy the frog (the witch) was with her prediction. 1. Cersei was supposed to marry Rhaegar (dany’s eldest brother, prince at the time) but she never did, Ellia Martell married him. She did end up marrying a king though - Robert. Robert was already king (after winning the rebellion) when he married Cersei. Maggy also said she would be queen until a younger more beautiful queen took her place i.e Margaery. 2. She only had 3 kids, “gold shall be their crowns, gold shall be their shroud”. Gold crown and shroud not only mean royalty but meaning that they had blond hair and they were technically Lannister’s due to the incest
lol yes lancel essential killed him. He kept forcing super strong wine on Robert causing him to get very very drunk which led to the boat killing him

Dany needs to watch How to Train Your Dragon lol
I think Brienne is moreso loyal rather than honorable. She can look at someone who has done evil things but is ultimately "good" and be loyal to them because she knows their heart is in the right place. That being said, I think if she knew about Jaime yeeting Bran out the window she might reconsider her judgement.
That's a question I've always had! When there's famous songs in books I always wonder if the author already has a melody in mind or just the lyrics they show in the book. There was a song in the Hunger Games trilogy that I had a melody for in my head, and it ended up being completely different once the movies got made. I guess it's probably a case by case basis with the soundtrack producers and writers having the biggest say.
I think that's the thing about Mance. He was idolized because the wildlings KNEW he would never sell them out, no matter the price. He could have saved himself and sold them out but he knew they would never stand by him again. In a way it's a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation. Either Stannis killed him for not bending the knee or the wildlings killed him for doing it.
Burning alive definitely is not the way to go. Have you ever been by a campfire or something and you stand 1 mm too close?? That shit already hot. Imagine being surrounded by it and not able to escape? HELL NAHHHHH
I'm so curious what episode you're on right now lmaoo
