Fantastic performance by Peter dinklage. Not the first time he's proven himself to be such a strong actor but you just really feel all the rage and resentment from being treated as "other" for his entire life. I agree with you I do think his relationship with Shae was genuine and even if Cersei or Tywin figured them out and threatened or bribed her it wouldn't have worked without the added feeling of betrayal she had for how he ended the relationship.

Holy shit I just realized that Jaime was willing to sacrifice his relationship with Cersei in order to save Tyrion. "Now that Shae's not here" oh who's gonna tell him.... "I wish I was the monster you all think I am" FUCK that line always makes my eyes water Oberyns like "I will need to hear this in excruciating detail in order to make a decision" I don't think we actually ever find out what happened with Shae and the ship. Maybe she did go off and then immediately came back? I don't think Bronn would lie about that I'm with you, it's mad confusing knowing Cersei's kids are all bastards cause in our eyes they're such Lannisters, like everything about them screams Lannister. But then you remember they legally have Roberts last name and Tyrion was Tywins last hope to have a Lannister heir. If only he didn't hate him. I can't stress enough how stupid Tywin is for hating his perfect son. How would you feel about Varys on the throne? 👀👀 (Eye emojis cause I'm super curious, this is not a subtle spoiler lmao) (Also a question for everyone) Personally I think Varys would do great on the crown. Not saying what he said to her was right but I do think he tried to communicate with her and she would shut him down

2025-03-29 06:40:48 +0000 UTCSo Shae’s reasoning for testifying against Tyrion is obviously because he hurt her with what he said but she was jealous of Sansa because everything was about her once Tyrion married her. And he did tell her the truth but she just didn’t want to listen. Granted, Tyrion is a grown man and letting your father run your life like that is ridiculous but remember who we’re talking about. If Tyrion wasn’t dead, Tywin would hunt that man down just he could use him to keep the family going in whatever scheme he’s planning. So Tyrion kind of had his hands tied. So for Shae to blatantly ignore his words, become jealous of Sansa, and get her heartbroken by Tyrion, she’s just bitter and angry so this is her revenge. All in all, Tyrion should’ve never brought her there because he knew this kind of thing would happen. History repeating itself again. Now I’m yapping lol. Great reaction man! Jaime giving up what he has fought against his father for all these years, finally giving in just for tyrion is why tyrion and jaime are my top 2 characters in this show🥹
