for some reason i had it drilled in my head that season 4 ep 9 was the red wedding…. this is way earlier than i thought wtf… the abrupt ending of this reaction i am so sorry but i totally understand.. was waiting for this ep ever since you started watching. to go after talisa FIRST was absolutely horrendous. while i understand why walder frey felt wronged, this was betrayal on a whole nother level. i don’t think things had ever felt more bleak than when i watched this the first time bc of all the almost reunions.. absolute madness

2025-03-11 00:31:06 +0000 UTCI totally thought I'd already come back to this comment but before commenting on the field now yeah I just wanted to add: Now seeing this episode multiple times I can appreciate that there's a lot more than just the Red wedding that happens this episode although of course that takes heavy focus by the end. I feel like it was painfully well done the way they structured all the near reunions in this episode. Both Bran with Jon and Arya with Robb/Cat. Being so close to reuniting with at least one family member and having to miss them (& in the case of Arya there's no going back and being able to see them again). It's rough stuff. It's also great how they tied in from the previous episode the introduction of the story of the Rayne's of Castermere. Since it's such a well story across the realm that the Lannister's destroyed them for trying to usurp their spot. As soon as Cat hear's the song "The rains of castamere" she knows something is up because why would they all of a sudden be playing a Lannister victory song. It's so chilling.

2025-03-09 21:41:14 +0000 UTCI never realized but yeah, he was stern when needed but also smiled easily like Ned :') As to why he brought her to the wedding, once you are under someone's roof you are under their protection and even in these times it was considered absolutely monstrous to kill someone once you had sworn them protection under their roof. I noticed this video/last video that they even show Frey swearing to it. Robb is definitely in the wrong for breaking his promise but Walder Frey is absolute scum with no honor even by standards of this time.

I'm pretty sure it's the only episode that is like that. But I mean, how could you go about doing the ending credits normally after THAT!! Robb should have NEVER brought his wife to that wedding. I honestly don't know what he was thinking. Not only was it just plain stupid, but it was also disrespectful towards the Freys. I still wish it had had a different outcome, though! I loved Robb, He was just such a good character. He grew to remind me a lot of Ned.

It’s also the name of the song they were playing when everything happens. And, usually when there’s a wedding, they’re not suppose to have weapons or anything because it’s not customary. So for this all to happen at a wedding where the Northerners are unarmed and comfortable….. yeah man. It’s sick. Keep dropping the reactions! I’ve been really enjoying it.

I had to stop watching GoT for a few months that's how much it effected me 😭 as painful as this episode is, season 3 may be my favorite season in the entire franchise it was so well written and paced. Never forget the night of The Red Wedding 😭

This would be that time. I had read the books so I knew about this and still.. it's just one of the most insane TV cultural moments of the last few decades. People literally had watch parties to record the reactions of their friends and families who didn't know what was going to happen in real time. You can probably still find them all over YouTube.
