I feel like it was important for her to be part of the lyrics for all these songs so I appreciate it. And I'm always cognizant that English is her second language but between working with these well-known lyricists and songwriters and also just her own drive. I want to see some major bars.

2025-03-09 01:30:37 +0000 UTCI agree that "Fun!" is the best way to describe this album. Do I think this overall album is an instant classic with songs that will be iconic in a decade? Not most of them (I actually think Born again has that kind of Pop nostalgia that you can listen to after not listening to it for a long time). This is not something I'm mad about though. A lot of these songs are well done, they're well produced & Lisa's performance is good. When you truly look at it the concept of a k-pop artist having a long-standing, multi album career while still being part of their group is actually quite a small pool. Taemin is the person that immediately comes to mind and of course some of the BTS members are on album 2+ now but it's a small sample size. I would love to see how Lisa and all the BP girls take it from here. Now that the pressure of the debut solo projects is over they'll have their comeback and presumably they'll keep making more solo music and ideally we'll see growth too. But for all the people getting super up in arms cuz they needed everyone's album to be deep I'm just like - this is pop music I don't know what to tell you 🤷🏾♀️. Of course there are different genres within pop that you could go to but there is nothing wrong in and of itself with the direction she's chosen.

2025-03-09 01:20:10 +0000 UTCThe problem is there were other lyricists in the songs, I am sure her input is what made all the songs have such problems but having different writers on each songs and some pen game came out like that needs to be studied, example the pen game on futw despite it being a flex song as well is relatively better.

2025-03-03 09:37:17 +0000 UTCi keep seeing people get mad at her for westernizing but i think it wouldn't make sense for her to promote entirely in korea, especially since she was always one of the most popular internationally. she's obviously getting her footing since this is newer to her (being solo, outside of yg, & in the us) so im excited to see where she goes and how she develops as an artist.

Pop on randomly on my drive, will I let you play or no lol. I also enjoy her second verse on FUTW that's why I was a lil sick Future took that away but ayeee,

2025-03-02 02:00:05 +0000 UTCi loved the confidence she had in this album and her just talking her sh!t like i dunno 😭 i love seeing lisa just be in her bag. i was kinda nervous about what the full album would sound like sonically bcs of how different all the drops were but she definitely came through and i loved the album !! so proud of all the pinks rn, they all are prospering. 😭😭💖 this got me so ready for the tour cause i know their solo sections are abt to be INSANE. my top songs are: when i’m with you, elastigirl, rapunzel feat. megan & dream. also already had love for new woman and rockstar. <33

2025-03-01 16:04:00 +0000 UTCok finally got to it. i had to go recheck, the version i had saved aint have the features besides Tyla i was confused 😂 didn't even realize it was 2 versions. 8/15 songs made it. enjoyed the album more than i expected I would, will say that. if i had to pick a top 3, proably fxck up the world (specifically her solo version, i liked her 2nd verse a lot better), Rapunzel solo version, and lifestyle (but it could be switched with when I'm with you at least for now of first listen lol) now i will say tho, not sure how much i will come back & actually listen to all 8 songs i have besides my top 3 since these r the songs I for sure liked, didn’t think about whether to add to the library or give a listen to see if i liked it.
