What would you like to see added to Patreon this year? | 2024 Patreon Feedback

Hey everyone!

As we wrap up the year, I’d love to hear your feedback and ideas on how we can make this Patreon better in 2025. I’ve got a few ideas in mind for the new year—especially around scheduling (some of you hooray)—but I want your input before I finalize anything.

Comment your thoughts below!

I've also put together another form that I request you guys fill out! It'll take less than 1 minute and it will be used to structure the content into the next year, mainly affecting the kpop content!  https://forms.gle/d4PdQTzA5oVzzCzn7

I'm looking for feedback, suggestions, requests! Leave them all in the comments section. I am also taking any and all positive comments and pushes forward LOL.

I’ll always consider your feedback and do my best to incorporate what I can, but I also need to put my own well-being first. I want to keep maintaining my fun without burning out—so think of your suggestions as guidance rather than guarantees.

I’m planning to start rolling out changes in January, so the sooner you share your thoughts, the better!

Thank you all for being part of this community. I appreciate your support and can’t wait to see your ideas. Feel free to drop a comment here or send me a message—everything will be read and considered.

Much love!

Im sry for any mistakes english is not my first language. What i meant was it would be nice if you could let us know Maybe bevor a new month starts if you are going to drop a Show or put it on hold or Maybe dont start something if you are not sure that you can continue it. I rejoined recently because i saw that you were watching AOS. Now you put it on hold. I was excited when you started when the phone rings but that one is also on hold. I cant Always be a member i dont have that Money and i am not interested in GOT and anime. Maybe having a Membership only for k Dramas would be a good idea. Only if you are really interested in watching k Dramas on a regular Basis. I enjoy your reactions to kpop and k Dramas but if k Dramas are not your priority just let us know. Or Maybe the once we are recommending you dont like so Maybe just watching what you really want to watch instead of what we want you to watch would be better but then again it takes time to film and edit so i dont know if it is worth it for you if People dont watch those Videos. Thats up to you to decide. I didnt renew my Membership this time. Maybe i will be back in a few months.

yoo snax! thanks for sharing your thoughts, as always, i do appreciate it. no need to apologize, exactly what i was asking for! i'm glad you took a moment to wish me well, i hope your holiday went great and you're doing well too! sorry if this response is slightly lengthy, i hope i acknowledge your points and would love some more back and forth for ideas/tips! planning: i think all of this simply can boil down to proper preparation and planning, right? i totally can understand how planning ahead could help to avoid hiatuses and/or dropping shows. generally, i don't track kdramas at all, i only track kpop comebacks and sometimes anime. i generally get recs from viewers on kdramas and anime, i get from my friends back home. since kpop is the main thing i do that's generally the main thing i try to make sure i get the comebacks and albums reacted to for youtube and here. i can see how forecasting upcoming dramas could help to make plans and i assume that means you're saying to look in the future and see what i'll still be posting at the time of release before committing and realizing it's a bit too much. dropping shows: from my perspective, i've only officially dropped a few kdramas: eve, so not worth it, reborn rich and twinkling watermelon. twinkling was the only one i dropped with a slight delay in noticing as i spoke to twitch viewers about considering dropping it. i've watched over 30 so i was wondering what made you say that was a common thing? compared to kpop related shows that have longer running episode quantities, off the top of my head i feel like i haven't left too things hanging. someone can correct me kindly!! i try to do pilot tests of shows, but sometimes it takes 2 or 3, or maybe i was filming with a homie (love next door/extraordinary attorney woo) and life / schedule syncing got in the way. i feel the vibe is off to go back to doing it solo, but maybe it's not and i'm adding to your point! alchemy of souls: i'd genuinely like to confirm to all, i did enjoy aos. i have no plans on quitting or stopping the show, i just truly felt like i needed to focus on toopiece. lock in on anime, shows, kdramas and see if youtube growth can be a solution to optimize budget for edits and patron growth. 100% of you guys all came from some youtube video one way or another and since aos is studio dragon, it's cooked and only allows me to work on one platform with zero discoverability. i'm sorry that's been disappointing and i'll notify all free members when that show is moving forward, i just want to be transparent about what i'm juggling. i know it's gotta be aggy like, aos is paused but got is getting updated heavily? totally understandable, but from got, it's not only doing better with more people engaging it also has brought in a little bit of revenue to go towards editing budget and some patrons here and there. scheduling/output: i don't give dates on finishing shows because things aren't generally pre-recorded. i know a lot of channels do that, and it offers a lot of the things suggesting, but i haven't gotten to that point yet of being able to lock in that much and push ahead. i also still get cricisim about posting x amount of episodes of ____ because it'll take too long to finish. so it's like do i choose to just do 1/2 eps per week anyway and deal with the completion time comments? that's what i'm feeling like it has to be. i have not lost interest in kdramas, some are hit or miss- but such is most media. i'm still open minded and very much giving things a chance. i have been teetering on actually choosing things for myself for a long time, after hearing it again, i will put a foot forward into the new year to give that a shot. thanks for offering some additional perspective.

Hey Ceyda! Thanks for your feedback! I'm glad there's still people interested in the music aspect within the kpop space over here, in a variety content driven world. When you say you’d like “more consistent uploads and updates,” could you give me an example of what you mean? I do try to post updates fairly often (like videos and via community chat), but I’d love to know if there’s a specific type of update or schedule you’re hoping to see. Looking forward to your clarification to help me figure out how best to meet those expectations. Thanks again!

anthonytoo

We got this Dani! Thank you so much for your kind words and support as usual! I’m super happy that the GOT reactions are getting you refreshing to you and sparking additional joy with it—I’m feeling the same tbh. I didn’t expect to vibe with GOT as much as I am, but taking it slow has made the whole experience way better. I know some GOT fans want me to rush through it, but it’s also my first time watching, and I really want to soak it all in at my own pace. Like I generally do with most of my favorite shows. I totally get what you mean about the k-dramas yo. I’m always hesitant to invest in them because it’s tough to predict if I’ll love them or if they’ll end up being a drag (plus, I have to consider how they’ll do on YouTube and Patreon). Sometimes it’s a hit; other times… not so much. But as I've expressed before, I'm glad to see more options for western media is an option. I am appreciative of the tv network comment lol—maybe I will try something more schedule-like, but I’m also cool with how I do things. I’ve seen creators with set schedules, and I’ve seen others who just post as they go. I'd like to imagine neither of the options are a problem. Are the paid requests still confusing?! lol I’ll definitely look into how I can tweak and simplify that further.

2025 already almost here is actually so scary for me. i feel like a lot of time has passed and life has just not been what i wanted for myself but ever since covid a lot for me has been quite difficult. hopefully though! 2025 will bring better things for my mental health. i personally wished we dove more into a specific group’s a month and just focus on them. i remember you mentioning how much you liked getting to know a group so you enjoy the content more. like how you are with treasure. i feel like tackling so many groups at once is probably so exhausting and just very time consuming. with that being said, i am glad to see seventeen on the schedule and hope that we can continue going seventeen maybe even watch them in order ! so a lot of inside jokes make sense and just to have an ongoing variety show going that a good amount of people will tune into. i think more dance practice, studio chooms and behind the scenes !!! content especially would be nice. i have really found seventeen (inside seventeen) and nct’s behind the scenes stuff to be very interesting. especially seeing them learn choreography from scratch and their raw vocals in the studio. you got me into GOT so i have enjoyed that and i also wouldn’t mind if you took on other western media ! ngl i lost my passion for watching k drama’s cause they all seem kinda predictable rn? scheduling for me has not been a problem! i actually like the current way you have it just fine. ♡ this year i did pop in out a lot more than i usually would have again, my mental health has not been the best but this community and your posts have helped me find so much comfort and joy in times when i just was completely exhausted. i cannot wait for another year here ! 🎀

sincerely, nai.

I like the performance reaction idea! that makes sense esp since a lot of ppl (me included) usually check out live stage performances right after watching a comeback

imani

yesss I agree w the behind the scenes album recordings or mv makings! I love watching those

imani

2025 does sound so insane, I can’t believe it’s almost here. that number makes me wonder wtf have I been doing with my life so far 😅 im trying to lock in next year and cultivate things that im proud of. for your channel, what I enjoy the most is: - your kpop variety reactions! things like buzzfeed style videos, kstar, and various idol lead variety shows (zbtv, wanteez, etc) - album listens (but im ngl I only watch the ones of groups im interested in and im slow to watching them) - kdramas (again, I only rlly tune in for the ones im interested in or have seen before) - comeback live stages, special stages (studio choom, killing voice, collab stages, etc) or award show stages for new ideas, I’d love to see you do the zb1 tiktok reactions lmfao. I’ve seen some people create tiktok complications specifically for reactors to watch and if I had time, I would attempt 😞 also would be down to see you deep dive into specific groups! and vlogs if you plan to travel lastly, I just wanted to say thank you for this year!! in the past, I was mostly popping in and out of here bc I couldn’t afford it 😭 but now that I’ve been able to keep my membership consistently (thank u full time job<3), this page has become kind of a safe space! this year was…a lot but your videos and the community here always gave me something to look forward to. ik it’s not helpful but honestly idec what you post, im just glad that you’re posting 🤧 in the future, if you decide to stop and pursue other things, I will be so sad but !! I will also be incredibly happy for you and always rooting for you! thank you again for all your hard work, I hope 2025 is your year 🙏🏾🤎

imani

Yeah I also watch behind the scene recordings even if it's from a group I only casually follow. Pretty much as long as I have heard and don't hate the song I'm curious to know what went into it and how each member felt about the part they got. maybe because I've never been in one but I'm fascinated by recording studios.

mssmercedes

i watch everything even if it's not right away, right now i'm probably liking GOT the most. the rappublic streams are fun af too. i just like khh content, hopefully you can go back to smtm eventually. i know i'm not the only one who would love to see you get into the peak smtm seasons !!!! agree with what some said about putting shows on hiatus, etc. i personally don't mind, but others definitely do. just don't start shows as impulsively as you did with AOS lol, try to make sure you're gonna be able to (and want to) finish them. i also agree with mssmercedes, having a group or two each month to focus on is needed, for consistency and i think less stress. (you could also still do any other groups' content that YOU want to do that month, there would just be no expectations of any outside of the set groups). as for schedule, i like the weekly or even monthly kind of overview thing you do, personally. i don't think there's any need to do any more specific schedule unless you want to & are sure you can keep up with it. happy holidays & 2025 is gonna be great 🤞🏼🤍

2025 really came quickly and it does feel like a big year for some reason. I haven't felt this way since Covid hit, probably. I would really enjoy much more k-variety content! Although there are only a few groups I'm interested in watching them from, I just feel like those are always a fun and lighthearted watch. With reactions, I usually am looking for a good laugh/a good time over something more intense. Which I know is ironic from someone who stuck through all 8 episodes of The Frog with you, lmaoooo. I can be a little picky with which groups' content I watch, though, so I understand it's definitely difficult to satisfy everyone/know what's going to get more engagement than others. I think I agree that either more of a theme (per month) or a more structured schedule for each month will probably help people commit to subscribing to your patreon & engage more with your content. Good luck going into the new year and happy holidays!!! I hope it's looking up for all of us.

Lele

I think having a schedule and allowing patrons to be able to predict what and when to look forward to will help a lot😊 I do think that you react to a very wide variety of things so if I were you, I’d first think how many days a week would I like to post and how many videos per day would be comfortable without overdoing it or pushing myself too hard. Only after deciding this would I know how many things can be watched at once. And this should be done as at least one video from one type of content every week if it is possible. For example, you watch kpop, anime, kdrama and western shows. That would be four different types of content, so you could plan one of each type to be posted on one of four days in the week. If it is comfortable and suits you then you could even do multiple of each on each day. Another thing you could do is combine categories and either alternate weeks or wait for one to finish before starting the next via polls. So for example if you combined kdrama and western shows as just a tv show, if you watch GoT on one day of the week or two days of the week, the following week you could watch a kdrama on that same day of the week or two days of the week. OR else you would finish GoT first before starting any other western show or kdrama. I think what’s most important is that people know what shows, anime, dramas you watch and what day each of them can be expected, instead of guessing what would come next or even seeing new shows appear… if you watch more episodes of anything than what was scheduled for release, it may help you to just post what you planned since the extra eps you watch will give you a backlog so you arent in a rush to watch sth any week since anything can happen in life.. That’s what i think would calm people down and give them no excuse to complain 😬

Itami

the performance addition serving as a connection between patreon & yt definitely makes sense!! i also really enjoy the older show vs newer show idea.. for new shows it takes me a while to come around to watch them but i’ll rewatch any drama i watched from 2017-2019 (these years especially) without hesitation LOL

jam

Mostly enjoying got lately aside from k content I’d love to see more skz variety there’s some rly fun stuff out there Always here for kiof too Also that rose album reaction

it's personally difficult for me to decide when to start subbing to you again, though i'm only one person and don't really matter in the grand scheme of things. but when you start a show and don't continue or put it on hold and never give an exact answer when you're going to finish it, it does get frustrating. my suggestion would be to plan a little more or make decisions that are a little more reliable. if you don't think you're going to enjoy a show going forward, please just tell people that you don't plan on continuing with it, then move on to something else, instead of leaving it in hiatus and leaving those fans just waiting. this isn't just about aos. this seems to be a common thing here. it's disappointing. if you're pausing a show so you can start something that's newer or may be more popular, i would recommend looking in to and planning for the future. do some research in to what's coming up and decide if you want to try to watch it while it airs. if so, then don't start a new show that may impede on that plan. leave a spot open for the new show. or plan around it. the kpop content doesn't interest me as much, neither do the western shows. but if you think those would bring in more people and are watching more of those, again, i would ask that you plan for that and at least finish the shows you have already started instead of leaving them in limbo. i've been waiting to resub once most of aos has been posted, but it seems like i'm constantly going to keep waiting. i'm also not sure how you pick your shows, but i would recommend that instead of leaving it all to your fans, you pick something you think you will actually enjoy because there is less of a chance that it'll be dropped. i'm sorry if this is mostly critical. i just really enjoyed your earlier content and subbed because you seemed really geared towards kdramas, but the more i watched, the less interested you seemed and the more dropped shows i noticed. i hope you find something you actually enjoy and don't make kdramas an 'expensive request only' kind of content. hope you had a good holiday and that your living situation becomes more stable.

Snax

I really like that performance idea! I do feel like it would appeal to people

Daniela V.

Yeah I absolutely love behind the scenes videos! I will watch some from groups I don't even follow. Not to be an SM stan but I feel like they're super good about filming a lot of the behind the scenes. (Whether it's edited in their favor is another story but that they provide is no question)

Daniela V.

You out here motivating me to fix my entire life lol. This is going to be THE year indeed! Content Priorities: I'm gonna be so real with you, your GOT reactions have ignited my passion for shows again. It's been a while since I was excited about TV but watching along has me filled with anticipation to keep watching the show at a slower pace and really enjoying the ride. I personally don't feel this way about kdramas since it's harder to gauge what shows I'm going to like and a lot of times I end up feeling like my time was wasted. Which is why I'm hesitant to get into shows even when people are raving about them. PERSONALLY I would enjoy you watching more western shows and movies. They're a lot easier to watch and keep up with and also get a feel for. Scheduling Preferences: I feel like the way you upload is fine tbh. Of course it would be nice to have a schedule but you're not a tv network. Maybe just letting us know what you already filmed vs what you're going to film to ease expectations? New Ideas: maybe a way to pay for specific reactions but in a simpler way, I can't lie the paid requests were confusing but I want it to work for you!

Daniela V.

Appreciate your continual interest in Kpop and Kdramas, you're one of my fav reactors. Sometimes I'm a consistent Patreon subscriber and sometimes I opt out due to the type of reactions to shows I don't personally care for and really bc of the changes in my extra money Id have for Patreon. I do wish you could secure a consistent spot for Alchemy of Souls for your Patreon Kdrama watchers. Otherwise, I think checking out what's worth the hype and what interests you has always been enjoyable for me as well! Thanks! Have a happy end of your year as well!

Leenah B

I mean, honestly, most of the stuff/genres of things we watch, I'm into😂 just lately, the few past dramas or even variety stuff depending on the group, I just don’t get into that much, but that's just a me thing. I'd say the only thing I’ve thought we could get more of maybe is some dance practices/studio choom choreography videos but then again it all depends on the group and then what choreo for me😂 its only really 2 groups that have me actually talk about their choreo as much as their music itself maybe more bts recording sessions by other groups. i enjoyed ur reaction to the 1(?) nct one so far so that would be fun to continue for Ateez, skz especially since they are so into their music production, writing, etc, and others. oh and def time to start watching smtm stages atp 🤣 u still got a lot of iconic stages to see.

Sham Sham

I second this (if you go in order starting from 2020 gose at least, I think you’d be able to understand most of their inside jokes and references to previous things… I know it’s a lot though 😅)

jam

Thank you for another awesome year! We talked about this a little bit before but I would love to see us bring a structured way of selecting a group to dive a little bit further into each month because that's always a really fun journey and I think it's a way to bring a lot more musical focus back to the patreon aside from just album reactions. If you want an example of how it's being done really well you can definitely check out RJ and Adam's beloved of the month series that they've been doing (not to say you need to do the exact same thing). It's really nice because one month is a set amount of time so there's no pressure to get into every single thing that a group has done but it at least focuses on diving into their title tracks and there are so many groups these days that you feel like you get enough of a taste of their music to decide if you want to check them out in the future and some variety without having to dedicate months and months to it. I can break down more details on how it works if you want but I think the details are less important than just I want us to listen to more music and it's my number one favorite content is when we listen to a song and vibe out. On that note I would love to see music focused live streams again.

mssmercedes

😭

chelsey

You did not just y/n us 💀💀

Daniela V.

I'd love to see more kpop album reviews & live stages/ performances. Also with shows, i think a format of one older/long-term (like AOS) & one new/current show (like 'When the Phone Rings') would be good to allow you to be on it with the trends but also have a slower paced show where you're not as pressured/in a rush to post about if that makes sense? Also a suggestion but maybe even after posting your reaction to mvs, having a reaction to their performance/album available on here for fans to check out right after your yt vid might hopefully bring in more engament to the patreon? Obviously, this is more effort but even a quick performance vid helps the yt & patreon feel more connected (idk if that makes sense lol). Anyways it's been fun spending 2024 with the TooCrew & can't wait to see what 2025 has in store!!

h

I would love to see you watch BamHouse (it's a bit like Youngji's Show!)! You should check out some Got7 Variety Stuff in general 💜

BaoziBang (Tali)

I like to see more kdrama reactions and Kpop live stages/performances. I don't have a scheduling preference except for more consistent uploads and updates

Ceyda Nur

I know you already said you would do going seventeen content but I recommend going in order lol it makes much more sense and also you are able to catch their inside jokes better. I recently joined patron again after a while and I've been going through all your videos one by one lol
