2 more fun facts: - Minnie's in-ear monitor was broken so she had to sing purely relying on the audio that the audience heard I believe which is veryyy tricky especially in such a big stadium - idle actually sang with no backtrack at ALL if you watch fancams. it seems like MAMA added some on in the live recording but they went completely backtrack-less and they sounded perfect

2024-12-12 11:11:21 +0000 UTCnearly all of idle's songs are self written by at least one member especially their newer ones. for fate and super lady soyeon was the main producer. soyeon is the main producer of all their title tracks (excluding I want that and last dance because those were done in collaboration with other companies). 4/5 of idle members have produced and written music, I know you're probably familiar with this info somewhat but I'm just refreshing memory just in case

I also loved txt’s (ofc) and meovv is def on my radar now ! also im glad you enjoyed boynextdoors performance! they’re sooo talented and keep getting better

I've complimented so many live stages in the past where a lot of people are like bruh it's prerecorded and I'm like bruhhh lmao! I agree on ZB1's that was my experience here too!

2024-12-02 02:21:28 +0000 UTCsomething i don't personally love about kpop (but have accepted and respect to some extent) is the tendency toward EITHER having a completely pre-recorded track that they're singing to, or having a really loud backtrack over the real live vocals. It's frustrating as the audience and as someone who's really passionate about singing and vocals. Like zerobaseone had some moments where I was convinced it was prerecorded and some where I was convinced it was live. I have no clue

2024-12-02 02:13:33 +0000 UTCZB1 and BND had my favourite performances in this compilation! They really went above and beyond with props, stage direction, dancers! The whole LA Day was weird.. I don't understand why they had to have part of the awards in LA AND at Dolby Theatre which is so small.. it works for the Oscars, but the whole point of MAMA is to have grand performances in huge stadiums with a large audience where artists can go all out and perform beyond the limitations of a regular music show stage..

2024-12-01 16:38:17 +0000 UTCin soyeon’s rap the line mentioning soojin was “remember in 2021 you said we would be nothing without soojin.” throwing shots to all the people who said gidle would fail without soojin being with them and she threw shots at cube in the rap. and as of the mma awards soyeon stated that they all have renewed with cube. a lot of people are kinda confused about it seeing as the girls have been dissing cube for years now but i just want to say gidle are the only reason cube hasn’t shutdown. they are the main source of income for them which means they hold all the power in contract discussions. i know for a fact that idle has negotiated the best terms and got exactly what they wanted out of the contract renewal similar with blackpink resigning with yg. moving companies would have been terrible considering cube DOES give them 100% creative control and freedom.

These are the type of rap girls I need to be showing up on these survival shows not embarrassing us. This was fun! Like I said this was a great year. I'm not deep enough in the fandom to be the one to comment too much but I just feel like literally nothing is impossible but people really have to stay strong on their boycotting and other activities. The members themselves are still leaving his space open in there formations whenever they can so I hope people are taking heart.

They didn't get too specific but most of the fans have clocked it as overwork because various members have been getting sick all year they've just been doing too much. I love their new song I'm just pissed off at how short it is. Like that song deserved to be damn near 4 minutes. It seems so unnecessary too because it's not a very tik Tok trendy kind of song I don't understand. The live stage was lovely though.

I would have lost it if they had actually performed road movie but I'm glad that they used it as a transitional song it's so sick. They really reminded me of the boys here which is definitely a compliment.

2024-12-01 13:35:13 +0000 UTCMeovv (in my brain I was so sure the group was going to be called move and this was just a cute way of spelling it) - they did pretty good honestly I can tell that they're rookies. They haven't even done that many regular live stages before MAMA so I wouldn't hold it against them I actually think they do have good stage presence but they just need that confidence that will only come from performing a lot. I'm not even saying the confidence here is bad I can feel that YG adjacent energy come in from them but there's some areas where you can feel like they're trying to be cool.

Since Mama performances are usually more Grand or complex than a normal live stage they put in the effort to name it. Sorry for my million separate comments that I'm about to do but I thought MAMA was really excellent this year and I typically think MMA blows them away. I'll end up typing a wall of text if I keep it in one.
