BRUHHHHHH yo this show lmao... Working my nerves!

Make sure you guys are leaving a like if you're still watching along. Are we wanting to continue GOT outside of S1? Started posting some frequently and we dropped from ~70 likes to 30? πŸ‘€πŸ‘€

Honestly i have ZERO sympathies for robert. Not even for the fact that people have been conspiring to kill him. Not for that fact that his wife cheated on him cuz he deserved it all. A worthless king, worthless husband, worthless father.

Thank you I appreciate it!

Thank you! And absolutely he is. I'm sure he relishes in all of his political and social wins afterwards

Oh that's such a good Littlefinger theory! He's like puppeteering them as well and low-key getting off on it

Daniela V.

Jotting this down before I forget: you asked about Littlefinger . He's like the treasurer of the Kingdom so it's not necessarily that his own money is giving him power but since he controls the Royal Bank book so to speak the royal guard would recognize him as the person who holds the purse strings. So you're definitely right to say he's a big fish just in a different way. I know it's really not funny but I couldn't help but laugh when you were so locked Drogo's speech until he got to the women part it's kind of "yes!..yasss..... Whoa whoa whoa slow down there buddy we don't need to do all that" Yeah I agree with your point at the end there although I don't remember thinking about it at the time but in a way Ned is more in line with Cersei then he would probably like to think. It's that whole concept of the Victor of the battle gets to write the history. So in Ned and Rob's minds they did the right thing in taking down the mad King. But if the crown should be passed down to the bloodline who really gave them the right to kick out the Targaryen's? Ned is quite an honorable guy but you have to see that as hypocrisy. Yes you got that right so the new line of succession after King Rob is the Baratheons. So the true order would go Stannis > Stannis's kids if he has any > if he doesn't have any then to Renly. Joffrey really isn't in the line of succession at all if he's not Rob's son. Cersei doesn't have any claim to the throne on her own. I liked the final scene with Rob and Ned. I think even though they had grown apart somewhat the show did a really good job of showcasing their brotherhood all the way into these final moments. But I also like Cersei's reaction to the note because it shows how far she's willing to go ignoring all protocol. The rules mean nothing to her so it's like the type of enemy that you can't predict. I know it wouldn't have worked without Littlefinger's betrayal but I also feel like Ned underestimated Cersei. He really thought that because he was in the right and doing the right and honorable thing and even gave her the courtesy of giving her a heads up to get out of town that she would back down but she's more stubborn than he thought I guess.

Littlefinger/Petyr Baelish is the Master of Coin aka the treasurer so he is kind of in charge of their payroll Moon of my life is one of the most hard hitting endearments I've ever come across πŸ˜πŸ’› Joffrey is so annoying. Boy had the audacity to sit on the throne before being crowned LOL Ngl I love honorable Ned but I like cunning Petyr a little bit more? Honor doesn't have a seat in the game of thrones and Petyr is the type of antagonist that I love to watch because it seems like he will do whatever it takes to save himself while using his smarts. And I think the writers showcase that pretty well when Petyr is talking to Ros and the other girl. Like I just had this thought when you said their noises were distracting. Maybe Petyr uses other people's "noise" or drama to distract you from foreseeing his moves?

Jess

i think ned also told cersei what he knew because he had planned to tell the king & knew that the king would maybe kill cersei & her kids?? so he warned her to leave with them. he's a genuinely good guy :'(

I’ve been really enjoying your reactions to these I’m excited to watch :)

No no, you're right, it was Rhaegar who kidnapped Lyanna Stark. I imagine young Robert looked a lot like the bastard from the swords shop, not hard to see why he had ladies after him. Hell, even present tense Robert's kinda got it going on We haven't seen Stannis' face yet, don't worry The way Game of Thrones switches up so damn fast lmaoooo. You'll be enjoying a nice conversation and then meat appears. Shit had me dying Theon: *breathes* Everyone: why are you such a loser? Theon: πŸ‘οΈπŸ‘„πŸ‘οΈ You right though, Theon has no business being that uppity towards others. I do feel bad that everyone keeps putting him in his place but he is also kind of an ass lol You're right, if the Mad King hadn't been killed and died of natural causes, the throne would go to his oldest son Rhaegar. That's why they call Robert the usurper cause he took the throne for himself. It's funny that they default back to a monarchy where the throne goes to the next in line when it wasn't technically theirs to begin with. Not that I agree with Viserys but Renly has a point, it is a ridiculous system Yeah I think if Joffrey was outed as a bastard he's no longer in the line of succession. But I do think if people really really liked him and Stannis was like "eh I'm fine not being king" he might be allowed to stay? Someone down the line would maybe try to take the throne but if the king has enough loyal swordsmen he could easily win that sort of thing. Don't take my word for it though. Yeah I'm also confused why Robert didn't get as many witnesses as possible?? He knows everyone is scheming behind his back why would you make it that much harder for Ned. Which brings me back to Ned. NED, WHY WOULD YOU WARN CERSEI, YOU BEAUTIFUL IDIOT. Nobody here knows honor except you my guy 😭😭 It doesn't make sense to me either. Feels out of character for Ser Barristan to just be like "oh okay, fuck honor I guess, hail Joffrey". How anyone has any sort of devotion to that little shit is crazy to me.

Daniela V.

Great way of putting the Jorah bit! I love how throughout these episodes you've come to see Jorahs pity (for lack of a better word) for Dany become admiration. In this moment you can see him weigh his options and ultimately decides to stick with who he believes deserves to be on the throne

Daniela V.

Loving how much you're enjoying this amazing show, it only gets better and crazier!

Thought I'd try my hand at trying to answer your questions: - yes, Renly was essentially trying to call him a hypocrite for not backing his play for the crown - I'm sure Cersei would've had something up her sleeve, regardless of Littlefinger's help, but yes the idea is that if Ned's plan worked the way he intended, Joffrey (and younger brother Tommen) would've been completely denounced as a legitimate option and Stannis would be king, with Renly as his heir. The plan Littlefinger offered was to leave Stannis out entirely, back Joffrey's claim, marry Sansa to him, and then quietly eliminate Joffrey if he caused problems and put Renly in charge - Ned is honorable to a fault. He trusts other people to stand by their honor when he's the only one who would. Cersei was right, when you play the game of thrones, you win or die, there's no middle ground. Ned expected that room of people to respect Robert's words, but you can't expect a room full of people to respect the words of a dead man, when the next most powerful and richest people in the room say something completely different - the pardon for Jorah was the sign that told him someone was gonna try and assassinate Daenerys. If you remember when Ned told Varys to cancel the assassination plans, Varys said "those birds have flown already", meaning the message was already sent and plans already set. Jorah's deal with Varys and the crown (to relay info on her) was probably meant to last until she was taken out, which is why he knew what it meant that he was pardoned. His conflicted look shows that he's not sure what side he's on anymore, but the fact that he stopped the assassination attempt shows the choice he made, he chose Daenerys. He's clearly come to like her.
