hi anthony! enjoying the GOT reactions very much. i've never finished the series so this is perfect timing for me to rewatch :)

aly

Great ending! It's still chilling even after all these years. Visarys got exactly what he deserved in such a poetic way. I think you're totally justified and still being upset and frustrated with Sansa. Asia side we see other pretty young characters making the right choices and doing the right things so it's hard not to want to shake her to her senses. For your end questions: * I assume Kat took Tyrion to the Eyrie because it was closest. Since you ran into him by chance and captured him spontaneously it would make sense to just take him to the closest place she could trust because they're still very far from winterville and more than likely Jamie or Cersei could have sent people after them on the road to get him back. It's so funny how spot on you are in some of your commentary and assessment.. just not in the way that you think and of course I can't say more. But it's like you're going to have some major light bulb moments as things progress.

Loving the GOT reactions btw! I usually only watch you for kpop (NCT) reactions, but Game of Thrones is one of my favorite shows of all time so when I saw you were watching this I had to become a patron again. Great notes and attention to detail as well, you are keeping up amazingly! Some people get this far and barely remember Tyrion is a Lannister or what Daenery's name is lol

Ah gotcha, fyi there are free trials frm a lot of steaming apps. And cinema, uk turks, & beetv apps for firestick usually hav relreliable caption links. U can use ths ep as a tester to see if it gives u the Dothraki translation. Good luck 👍🏾

Black Valyria

AHHH Okay, that makes sense!

anthonytoo

Thanks Lau! If I get lost feel free to kindly steer me back on track. Glad I'm doing alright!

anthonytoo

Ahhhhhhhh, okay okay thanks brotha!

anthonytoo

I do not have HBO, don't have $ for another streaming service lol. I can ask some friends. I watched the intro in the earlier episodes, sometimes I'm just preparing my pen/notebook. Doing my best!

anthonytoo

Sansa is frustrating u rly have to consistently remind yourself she’s young bc it’s so easy to be like fuck her bc her character rn is so unlikeable

aurora

I loved the end scenes sm first time and it still hits sm again him dying after taunting her just felt right nd the ending line

aurora

HBO has the official subtitles. U definitely need thm. U missed the Dothraki dialog. I keep wondering y u aren't watching the intro 🤔 FYI Its important to learn the map. If u don't it will come back & bite u

here’s all my responses while watching (an essay length comment again, sorrry😭): - i assume ned is panting in the beginning maybe from a fever or even an infection due to whatever size wound he received for his leg? that or he’s just in severe pain and the only way to relieve his desire to scream is through heavy breathing instead - you’re right omg why is everyone willing to go to war so readily.. theon RELAX - that was a great observation anthony… i never even noticed that!! the golden crown for viserys ensures they don’t spill blood in their sacred city :o - yes EXACTLY i love that they showed the stark contrast between arya and sansa’s first thoughts when ned tells them they need to leave the capital bc why is the younger “more immature” sibling thinking of their dad’s health status immediately whereas the older sibling is only thinking of their own life 🤦🏽‍♀️ like miss ma’am ik you “love” joffrey but you’re not married YET, they just threw the idea of a marriage out there and she RAN with it - that is a good ass question yo… why DID she bring tyrion to her sister’s kingdom.. maybe just bc the eyrie is known for being “impregnable” so even jaime lannister’s forces would have difficulty getting through there to save his brother? i would’ve thought she wanted him in winterfell since she rules over there but i guess it would’ve been too easy for them to grab tyrion since they know the layout of the stark residence after the king’s most recent visit? maybe she doesn’t want to risk a potential war in her own home? or maybe it was the physically closest place to the tavern she discovered him at where she had enough status to hold some power… not sure tbh (i have seen the show before and remember key plot points but a lot of this lowkey feels like i’m watching this the first time again with your thought provoking questions!) - you are so real bc SAME i want cersei to get her ass whooped but by a woman with reason, not her husband… - true! viserys was the only one who wanted to go to war, daenerys just wanted to go home but not sure if her having a son with drogo changes anything for her. does she still want to go home solo, with her son, WITH the dothraki, and/or to wage war in her dumbass brother’s place? right now it doesn’t feel like she’s even thinking about that, her main focus def feels like it’s on her role as a khaleesi w/ drogo and on those dragon eggs - damn all your questions are GOOD; i don’t know if the hill tribe is just synonymous with wildlings who fled south of the wall? but they did mention mance at some point.. he was implied to be some sort of leader north of the wall so i think atp the main thing we know is that mance and his wildlings were able to survive the storm that alliser thorne was stuck in the north beyond the wall for 6 months (when the mission was only to last 2 weeks) - i wouldn’t say that the wildlings are breaking into winterfell exactly or specifically but there have been passing comments that indicate many wildlings have been fleeing south more recently as they were capturing more of them (but i think these ones, or at the very least the woman, made it to winterfell so maybe they’ve gotten the farthest compared to the others who tried) super fun watch again, i’m glad you seem so invested already!

okay couple of things... so tyrion doesn't really have hands like that, when littlefinger says he lost the dagger to him he's saying he lost it in a bet/gamble from a tournament. and the trial by combat is usually a 1v1 and Bronn was offered a shield right before the fight started but i guess you missed it he shook his head no at the guy handing him a shield. if you have other questions lmk bro but thats a couple of things i noticed you thinking about.

Frankie

we see you! you are keeping up so well with the story, amazing man

lau

ned didn't tell her to, but he's saying he did so they wont think she's doing stuff and taking justice into her own hands type stuff

Frankie

Septa turning her head away when Joffrey started to use his silver tongue 😔 Love the father daughter moment between Ned and Arya while Sansa is being ridiculous Not Viserys calling her Dany at the end 🤮 I didn't like that he sounded young and vulnerable but that can attest to how great the actor is and how the writers made a smart choice in using her nickname instead of her given name Dany must've felt Hella Good saying that Viserys isn't a dragon after all the raging ego talk he put her through the years(?) I think Cat took Tywin to Eyrie cause it was the closest friendly location and she knew that her sister distrusts the Lannisters

Jess

loving how many episodes you've put out fr ive been watching every night for my entertainment so thank you fr 😭 Nah crown for a king is CRAZY but so satisfying. Trial by combat was an actual way of judging crimes in medieval England and basically you could select a champion ( someone to fight for you) or yourself and it was a fight to the death. Wild shit whoever died was the guilty one 💀 At this point in the show I was quite salty with Sansa but also knew that she was probably still of the mindset that her duty when going to kings landing was to marry the prince, and had probably been drummed into her during childhood that would be the best future for her. Not condoning her attitude bc she does sound like a spoiled brat lmaooo but I can see why she thinks that way but defintely does not present herself in a good way fr

Jennifer

Arya is badass. She was definitely my favorite character for the first season; after that, it kind of flip-flopped throughout the rest of the series!! I didn't take Robert saying that it wasn't kingly to hit Cercei as a joke. I think he genuinely didn't take any pride in that moment of anger. I think he is a man with some crazy issues, not only anger issues but also issues with the fact that he does NOT want to be king (in my opinion).

Alyson

DANYYYYYYYYYYYYYY AHHH she’s so fire
