2024-12-23 22:28:19 +0000 UTCyeah the first few eps can be a bit slow, just setting up the world and lore and characters, but iirc (its been a couple years lol) it starts revving up after the 4th-ish episode. And I really like the blend of modern and traditional they do with the costuming and styling in this show since its a period drama but also fantasy. Like those dangly earrings are def not correct time period-wise and the Jin ladies eye makeup is pretty modern. Looks cool with the more traditional looking clothes

He doesn’t know that Mudeok is Naksu but he recognized the bird whistle he gave Naksu when they were kids back when they recovered Naksu’s real body in ep 1. So to him Naksu is dead because he’s not aware of the alchemy of souls transfer she had into Mudeok’s body. But Naksu who’s in Mudeok’s body knows and remembers Yul from her childhood so they’re both lowkey pining one-sidedly bcs he believes she’s dead and she’s aware he doesn’t recognize her as Mudeok. Also young Naksu does actually look like older Naksu from ep 1, but they def fumbled with Yul’s younger casting 😭
