2024-10-19 04:01:36 +0000 UTCik there’s the discussion that fans may not always pick the “best” members for a group and popularity shouldn’t dictate who gets to make a final lineup, but I feel like with kpop, popularity is sooo important esp for a trainee. it sucks but even if someone is super talented and sings/dances well, it won’t matter (marketing wise) if fans aren’t invested in them. that’s why the idol industry is crazy abt fan engagement + fan service bc that’s what keeps the money secured. which is also why (unfortunately) solo stans are inevitable esp with survival show groups bc they depend heavy on them. and from my experience, korean fan culture normalizes being a solo stan too so they usually don’t care as much as western fans if someone doesn’t like the entire group

2024-10-19 03:02:23 +0000 UTCoh this ep had people in their feels on twt 😂 I did not understand the hate for the girls speaking up on Manon especially when we see Manon wasn't taking it seriously for a minute at that time. like how yall mad they speaking facts. u know people like to turn everything into race so it got crazy. ohh the girls r just being racist, ohh they picking on the black girl.. and I'm like umm noo....are we watching the same thing? she ain't showing up, they have every right to feel how they felt at that time.
