It's traditionally used for celebrations, especially an infant's 100th day of life cause oftentimes a baby did not live past 100 days in the past due to poor health or bad conditions. Also 백 means 100! More common forms of 백설기 that you'll see being sold have beans or honey in them, making it a bit more delectable

You tend to see her parents there for him more and that probably played a role on why he’s not close to her. She prioritized her job more than the family maybe….. idk. I guess we will have to watch and see.

Tteokbokki rice cake is just pounded rice flour without other ingredients so it's thicker, chewier and tastes a bit bland on it's own. 백설기 is steamed rice flour with sugar and salt and has a softer texture.
