Hey, I really like some of the ideas thrown out I think if we brainstorm a little bit on how to control and organize things it could definitely work. I also think if you want to start right now to see what it could generate within a few weeks towards your trip then just doing PayPal would work better than trying to set up a new tier because most people are going to wait until whenever there current subscription resets to switch over anyways. I almost feel like you could structure these requests as a certain number of slots that people could redeem so kind of like what you were talking about but for these upcoming requests let's say you had 50 slots and 20 of them were for content of 15 minutes or less at a cheaper price the next 10 were for 30 minute contents at the next price up and so forth and so on. The point of this is so that the total time of all the content that gets requested equals your availability and you don't get overburdened with requests that can't be filled within a reasonable amount of time. Probably rambling now so I will think on it but I hope it works out and I definitely hope you get to go back to Korea although I will be so jealous (p.s pretty sure if I roll up tightly I can fit into a standard carry-on)

So, I was thinking that maybe you could operate both options (tiers and paypal), but in a controlled way. I think a tier like you had before could be great for more steady income on a monthly basis, and also maybe you could do paypal or donations and do maybe a weekly twitch stream marathon where you watch them all and react and then share the twitch VOD (or the individual reactions edited) on patreon or youtube after. I follow a kpop dance content reactor who uses reaction requests that he takes via paypal donations OR having a higher tier. He will then do longer streams where he inputs all the reaction requests and spins the wheel live on stream (it's all digitally done in a randomizer) and it allows everyone to have an equal chance to get their content reacted to and he pulls from that list every week so eventually everything gets reacted to. This could maybe be a mechanism to do this fairly but with respect to your time and availability and might also encourage more twitch engagement. I would ALSO recommend filming this on your own as well simultaneously for playback because sometimes twitch will mute things on the VOD so if there are issues with the stream, people will still be able to have the reactions they paid for available once the original footage is edited. Emeroy Bernardo is the content creator I am referencing if you want to look into his model. His reactions are normally quite long because he analyzes dance so it's not a 1 for 1 but I think you could get even more out of it with the way you do your reactions and being able to get through way more in the same amount of time. Now, I think there needs to be some thought on more long form content and what you would charge for that based on the time you have available and how you would want to operate that. I do have some concerns there about burnout, your mental and physical health, as well as the hours you have in a day. Maybe another donate a small amount to suggest and have your reactions prioritized and then add it to a randomizer or something? I don't think a "PAY FOR A GUARANTEED REACTION ASAP" is a healthy model for you in the long term...or probably the short term either. And finally, please do drop a donation spot. I'm moving too right now and I'm big time relating to your stress. Not everyone would be able to donate, but I'm older now and much more settled in my career and finances, and I remember when I was younger and was going through similar things how alone I felt and I would love to help towards getting you to Korea. I'm all for community support because I know it'll keep you going and will definitely make for great content. Rooting for you, hun!

Hey! I’m gonna edit this response as I go, but no the paid show would not replace the poll winner, I said it could replace the poll winner after the winner’s show is over, the paid show could take its place if the engagement is good. So it’s essentially kickstarting the series. Yes, it would be a limit, and yes I would like to try to get the request posted during the month of the requester’s membership. (Depending on length/requests) The request tier has to be higher to avoid too big of an influx. It starts at $20 because it was something we used to do in the past, the $50 I think is the best price I could do for additional rushed episodes or things that are not on the watchlist at all because it’ll essentially double the time that it’ll take to put towards another show on the watchlist for the same time. If they’re just rushed episodes then yeah, but if it’s a whole show entirely then it technically goes against the film/post schedule. I see like a few other larger creators who charge even more for a sub 30 min. I can guarantee that I will be limiting the tiers regardless! Nah Snax trust I appreciate your honestly and lengthy comments. I even see ya on Lee’s page haha. 🙏🏽

I’m so excited for you. ik you said nothing is certain when doing collabs n stuff but I wanted to throw out there that it’d be cool if yall had the opportunity to do a collab with kino & his company 👀 he’s having his first solo concert next month & a new single dropping soon. plus he’s been rlly active w collabs n stuff lately so I feel like it’d be something possible if yall reached out (idk how this stuff works tho LOL)

i think the tier idea is interesting but it definitely needs some more brainstorming. 1: are these request tiers going to have a limit? 2: are these requests going to be covered in the month they are redeemed? if so, there definitely should be a limit. 3: i don't think it makes sense to have a 30 minute episode at 20 bucks but an hour episode at 50. that's more than double the price. i understand you included movies and that yes, some kdramas are more than an hour, but it seems like an inconsistency in pricing. maybe brainstorm on that a bit more. 4: i'm not particularly fond of the idea that if the paid for show has more engagement that the poll winner, you'll stop the poll winner and watch the paid show instead. now, as someone who's hated poll winners before, this idea initially sounds promising. but there are just too many incomplete shows in reactors lists, and that really is unfair for new subscribers who may see you started something, paid to watch those reactions in particular, and then have those shows never completed. i urge you to not pursue this idea, or perhaps then consider the idea of refunding if someone then asks for it. 5: whether you were considering limiting the tiers or not, my opinion would be to definitely do so. even if you don't plan on completing the reactions in the month they're redeemed, limiting the tiers until you complete the requests will help you prevent burnout, which many in the comments have already expressed their worry about. i've come across reactors who have had to step away from dramas and shows, taking breaks in between seasons, in order to prevent that very thing from happening. stuff like this can become overwhelming, even if you think you can handle it when you initially start. in regards to the job thing, i would recommend looking at pizza delivery or food/restaurant delivery in general, or auto parts delivery. pizza places, around me at least, are always hiring delivery drivers, and you also get the benefit of cash tips which.........................*youmaynothavetoclaimallofitfortaxes*.............. and shockingly enough, there are also some sandwich places that look for delivery as well. you can also look for part time work at a gas station third shift. they pay more for overnights (at least in cali they do), and the traffic is usually very minimal so you can spend down time chilling. anywho, i hope this is ok feedback wise. i know it's a lot. sorry. hope you succeed in whatever you end up doing and i hope you get to go to korea this fall! it's my favorite time of year there.

yesss same here, i agree w/ the above comments, i already had an anime request in my head as soon as you mentioned that was valid 🤣 you can do however many you’d like to do that won’t be overwhelming for you, we will understand! maybe the requests could always roll over to the next month if the requestor and you agree? that way you’re not drowning in the requests on top of the watchlist content if there’s more than you expect - n e ways good idea 🫶🏽

jam

oouu down for the requests thing 👀 !! I was loving the Korea content last time !! But if you're feeling burnout let us know

Kasia

oo fun i'm down !! but i also feel worried about burnout for you. i respect the work you're willing to put in, but don't push yourself too far plsss 🖤

chelsey

I like this idea but i would just get slightly worried about burnout or feeling overwhelmed,, i like the tier idea tho!! And u mentioning violet evergarden was very funny to me because i was thinking of it as you were talking about requesting reactions 🤣
