Yooooo!! This is one of the best comments ever lol. Thank you so much, I think it’s a mixture of both just like anime, it’s mostly rewatching and seeing what people think about your favorite things. (unless it’s a complex show then it’s the discussion and watch a long bit, i feel like i get the comment of introducing new shows / first time watchers but not all the time) Watching live is definitely the best for bringing new people in, recently hyped is probably the next best option?? or classic? I will likely watch the next big show weekly and give that a try

piggybacking off this for a descriptor because I commented this further down and realized it was already here so I deleted it and moved it up here. Fight My Way (2017): romance/comedy/slice of life. main couple are a pair of long time friends chasing their dreams to go from dead end jobs to be an announcer and an MMA fighter. Park Seojun and Kim Jiwon . Still one of my top 5 dramas. Incredible Cast. They are all super stars now. You have Marvel superheroes and Oscar winning actors here. Several actors also appear in queen of tears and there is actually a callback/inside joke in QoT to this drama for that reason.

I'm looking for anything that might have a ton of hype that is starting soon but nothing until mid july I don't think. Honestly live watching a show might be a good idea? A lot of these suggestions that are way older are kinda niche and I just don't think they will bring a ton of viewers. I suggested a few that are older that are my top dramas of all time and ones I have wanted to rewatch, but I don't know the demographics of the people who come to watch with you and what inspires them. Could you make a google doc or poll to ask what people enjoy the most about kdrama reactions? Is it watching a drama for the first time with someone else, or wanting to see what someone else thinks of your favorite dramas, or just enjoying watching things with you and discussing theories? Getting a feel for that might help guide your choices!

The King: Eternal Monarch - Mystery, Romance, Drama, Sci-Fi Parallel World (Modern Korea that we know at present and Modern Korea but as a Monarchy governed by an Emperor) This was like one of the biggest series that was released in year 2020. (2011) Warrior Baek Dong Soo: Period Piece, Action, Adventure, Political - A note on this one; it's definitely dated. Quality isn't amazing. But it's about a ninja organization that goes around doing tasks. Focuses on a duo, one who is outgoing and fun, and another who is quiet and somber. It's pretty much a live action Naruto without the magic powers. Even if you don't react to it, it would be a pretty fun watch on your own.
