What kind of reactions do you watch?
Added 2024-06-08 17:14:01 +0000 UTCYo! I am still getting questions and dm's regarding the page split so I wanted to make another post to show my point.
You can select more than one, this is just to show the ratio!
So basically, from ages ago I had trouble deciding how I'd post because if I included too much anime, or too much kdrama it could deviate from the main kpop content. Which happens to be the biggest factor in gathering reference data from other creators. A lot of the creators I find that do anime and kdramas are not involved with the kpop space, so they offer anime on one tier, kdrama on another and maybe sprinkle in western live action shows as well. That's awesome, but I don't want to stop reacting to kpop content.
With that, it was easy to say anything with story like anime, kdrama and live action shows can be housed in one place and kpop stuff housed separately. But I felt like k-culture was both kpop and kdramas, so it felt like it made sense for those to be grouped. I find that there are more kdrama only patrons joining and messaging me so maybe that overlap was less than I imagined.
The kpop reactors I've spoke with generally are mostly at $10 for including anime or there's an anime only tier for $5, so since I knew I wanted anime at $5 only I made a separate page, so it's only anime content on the feed.
My problem kind of lies where even now I am considering the idea of posting more kdrama in the mix due to recent support but I am having some doubts. I've supported other creators who post reactions in greater scale than myself and I am even seeing complaints about "more kdrama than anime" or vice versa in those communities too which is why I wanted to keep things separate to avoid my situation of "more ___ than kpop or more kpop than ___".
So my options seem to be:
1. Kpop/kdrama here + anime only separately (as it is)
2. All shows (kdrama/anime/western) + kpop only separately
The idea is that viewers who only watch one piece of content looks at the feed and goes, hmm, I only get X amount of the content I want per week/ the creator posts more X than what I want. But it's better when things are grouped more similarly.

I watch kpop, kdramas and anime (currently subscribed to both channels). I think the way it’s split now is fine. My main request would just be for the content to be more organised through the use of collections and maybe a master list listing all the reactions done so far since I find the page a bit hard to navigate currently and I’m honestly unsure what you’ve reacted to kdrama wise. I found you through kpop reactions on YouTube awhile back and decided to subscribe to your Patreon for the kdramas/survival show reactions. Personally for me if you were to split kpop into a separate channel I would only subscribe if it was either super cheap or you were posting a lot more survival/variety show content since I’m only really interested in a select few groups that you react to but I would be more likely to watch variety content for groups I don’t stan compared to album listens etc. Sorry that was long 😅

2024-06-09 15:11:17 +0000 UTCHey Zoe! Thanks for sharing, yeah the issue is not everyone will be satisfied so it's more like what's the best way so that it could be - removing what causes less drag? It's a bit annoying for the two but not too bad, I just leave them both open all day and reply to comments on one screen.

2024-06-09 04:42:01 +0000 UTCI moved from your channel that made anime to this one which is mostly kpop, and now kdrama as well, because I don’t watch anime. I personally think the way you have it now is fine. Everyone is not gonna be satisfied at the end of the day. People should just click on and watch what they’re interested in most, cause I’m pretty sure it’s already a lot for you to upkeep the two channels in general lol

2024-06-09 01:59:21 +0000 UTCYeaa Jae you're in the minority tho I think haha. I appreciate ya company both spaces tho fasho! I feel like more of the kpop fans want more variety stuff as expressed a lot over time, so I feel the variety can be covered as an entire theme personally. Where as multiple shows in general cover a good bit if grouped together.

2024-06-09 01:29:26 +0000 UTCI'm subscribed to both as I love anime, kdramas, and kpop I also love that your checking out more variety shows I personally like the separate channels as there are times in just in the mood for one more then the other

2024-06-09 01:20:07 +0000 UTCLOL. I watch Roshi too but wait I was considering Slime!! LOL. That is basically the only problem with option 2 because if there's anime going up notifications frequently but only 2 eps a week of kdrama, some people may complain. However, doing 1 (as it is now) you'd have to go to a whole other page for anime alone OR people may complain about the kpop content.

2024-06-09 00:33:37 +0000 UTCfor reference the only Patreon I consistently sub to is Yaboiroshi and they have so much trash anime content that their fans keep recommending like 100 Girlfriends and Reincarnated as slime. For the last 6 months I've only watched their live actions and kdrama content. They only post 2 episodes of kdrama a week which can be a lil frustrating when I see 2-3 different kinda poor animes on the list with 2 epsiodes a week. I think you have a good schedule already but if you wanted to up your kdrama content I would enjoy that

2024-06-08 21:42:28 +0000 UTCI subscribed for Kdrama but I'm also a kpop fan so i'll occasionally watch those reactions as well. So for me option 1 is better.

2024-06-08 19:39:57 +0000 UTCI recently became a patreon to your page because of kdrama reactions. But i enjoy the kpop posts as well. 😊 So i guess my decision made mostly would go with option 1.

2024-06-08 18:41:16 +0000 UTCHey thanks Alyson! I just wanted to clarify really to others that in some way, a split kinda had to be determined, either like this or having kpop and kpop variety shows on it's own. I was enjoying Percy as well, but that's partially when I was starting to think like hm... Does it make more sense here or elsewhere. Now to me it seems like splitting k-content in general here makes sense too, any western shows/movies or anything else could end up on the other patreon.

2024-06-08 18:39:40 +0000 UTCI watch your Kdrama and and most of your Kpop posts. I don't really tune in for groups that I'm not a fan of. But of the groups that I do like and you watch, I enjoy album listens, and variety content. I even really enjoy when you check out dance practices Live Stages or things like Artist of the month, and Dingo content!! I didnt click on the western media option, but I will say I was really enjoying your Percy Jackson reactions!!

2024-06-08 18:26:04 +0000 UTCI watch kpop, Anime, kdramas, and movie reactions

2024-06-08 18:07:28 +0000 UTCI feel like I like it as it is being that I rarely watch anime , so the $10 tier that I’m on works perfect with all the “K Content” grouped in one :)

2024-06-08 17:54:52 +0000 UTCTotally understandable Rochella! Thanks for letting me know :D The kdramas are a great time!

2024-06-08 17:36:23 +0000 UTCyes i did originally but had some complaints since anime was going up more frequently than kpop variety shows. jjk and ds were here, but i removed them when i made the other page. (ofc the minority is louder than the majority) also that's why i made the anime $5 as well, so that if anyone liked kpop, they could still get the anime and kpop for $10 just on two pages instead of 1.
anthonytoo
2024-06-08 17:36:03 +0000 UTCthat's how i thought it to be as well originally, especially since kpop is a lot of shorter length things it's easier for it to seem "over saturated" amongst a few kdrama drops/wk .

2024-06-08 17:34:11 +0000 UTCI found you on youtube through kpop, but I only stan a few groups and do not care much for all the others. I love K-dramas though and that's the reason I eventually subscribed.

2024-06-08 17:29:29 +0000 UTCDefinitely think kpop fans are the most likely to watch kdramas! Even if you're not a big fan of them you're bound to have given a couple a chance. Outside of your channel I do mostly engage with reactors who watch Western movies and shows though

2024-06-08 17:25:09 +0000 UTCboth options are great but i think option 2 is slightly better. Usually when im watching other accts or patrons; tv shows of all genres are grouped and kpop is its own little piece of content .

2024-06-08 17:20:12 +0000 UTCPersonally i’d LOVE k-pop and anime in one place because they’re the reactions i watch the most. When i initially subscribed to the $10 tier, i thought you also posted anime on here and got confused when i couldn’t find JJK and Demon Slayer, i should’ve checked beforehand but i think I’m just going to move to your anime account next month.
