i'm a big running man fan so if you need recommendations, i'd be glad to put you on the funniest and great concept game episodes they did. i remember starting running man back in 2016 and there were already 300+ episode and i binged watched all of it in just a month. crazy right but i swear it gets addictive lol running man is the reason where i learned a lot of phrases, games, culture, places, and korean jokes that you probably won't get if you're not into korean variety. it's a whole different world i swear the humor is just crazy fun. also, even if they do hurt each other physically or verbally, it's all just for fun. the members have known each others for years, decades, since they were starting their careers. so, it's nothing personal to them. they're very considerate and respectful towards each other (may not look like it but they are lol) i always recommend running man to my friends and family who is starting to get into korean culture and korean dramas. it's the best variety show to watch to really understand korean humor and also to introduce you to a lot of actors, idols, entertainers, athletes literally anyone. also, i'd just give you a short background of them: (listed in age order) Jee Seok Jin is the oldest member of running man, considered as one of the pillars of RM but also the weakest out of all them hence why they always tease him a lot Yoo Jae Seok is the national MC in korea, highly respectable person in korean entertainment (the 2nd oldest) also the main MC in sixth sense Kim Jong kook as you may have already guessed is the strongest out of all them (literally) he's a gym rat. he actually does gym contents on youtube and a lot of idols who loves gym have guested on it. (third oldest) Haha the fourth oldest. he is an entertainer, singer, rapper. he loves reggae sm. he's the shortest among the men so they tease him a lot about that. he is also interested the most in fashion. his fits are really good, you'll see it the most on every opening of the episode (they tease him a lot on his outfits because he likes hiphop and so he tries to wear what young people loves to wear yk. there was a phase where he copied GD's style lol) he carries the fit though even if he gets teased a lot for it. Song Ji Hyo (the 5th oldest and the first female member of RM) she was just a guest in ep 3 if i remember correctly but then she hit it off with the members, their chemistry were really good so she became a fixed catst member making her the only and first female member. She's an actress. Lee Kwang Soo is actually the youngest member for like 7 years before the new members Se Chan and So min came. He's known as the BETRAYER/Cheater of RM. also fun fact, he actually has a like a ticket pass where anything he does in RM will get like a pass from the netizens. He's played that character ever since the beginning that they're so used to seeing him betray the members and cheat in games, also for getting physical with the members and even guests. he really don't care even if you're a female lol. but in reality he's one of the most caring member. he always gets physical with song ji hyo but behind the scenes he always is the first one to take care of her. He's an actor and close friends with D.O. from EXO (they also have a variety with him along w/ their other friends. they have an actor squad called the HYUNG squad consists of famous actors like (Jo in sung - bong seok's dad from moving, lim joo hwan, kim woo bin, kim ki bang, cha tae hyun, song joong ki, bae sung woo) Yang Se Chan is a comedian, really popular with his skits. included in the maknae line (kwang soo-se chan-somin) he plays the character of being foolish in running man (quite literally for being so bad at quiz games) Jeon So Min the youngest and also known as the crazy fool in RM. crazy in a sense like the female version of lee kwang soo. also, part of the foolish line who are extremely bad at quizzes lmao Former Members: actually, Lee kwang soo and Jeon So min are already former members because they already left the show. LKS left on 2021 and JSM left on 2023. but before them there were other former members that contributed big parts on running man's success locally in korea and globally. Song Joong Ki - aka Vincenzo (also part of the Hyung Squad) he was an OG member since ep 1 but he left after 30-40 eps if i remember because he's a really popular actor so he got very busy and cannot continue running man with his sched so he left to focus on his acting. it was 2011 when he left so only a year. Lizzy - the 2nd female member in RM, she became a regular member after being a guest but only lasted for i think 2-3 months. she's an idol so yeah. Kang Gary - my favorite member and also my first heartbreak in running man. he left in 2016 to focus on his music. He's a rapper, singer. part of a hiphop duo called LEESSANG. really really popular also their songs are so gooood!!!! they're iconic as well in the hiphop scene. he even featured in Trade L's album and also with dynamic duo and a lot more other artists. Kang Gary is one of a kind member, he's very calm, has random strong moments, really funny even without doing anything. he was also Song Ji hyo's monday boyfriend in running man. they were known as the Monday Couple in the show. Their loveteam was really popular when gary was still on the show like really popular, their chemistry together was amazing and really funny as well. they never dated in real life though, they're just called the monday couple because they always shoot running man every monday and air it every sunday. so that's why monday couple. they were actually involved in a love triangle as well in the early days (Haha - Ji Hyo - Gary) Haha had a real crush on Song Ji Hyo back then that's why but when Haha got married ofc Haha's playboy image were also gone. but the loveteam between Gary and Ji hyo lasted for years. yeah that's about it, a little background so you have at least an idea eventhough you haven't watch a lot of episodes. at least you'll know a couple of things so you'll have an idea when you watch again.
