I saw an interesting assumption, that HYBE groups (obviously starting with Enhypen) are going to release covers of the HYYH era leading up to BTS's comeback from the military. Obviously, I don't know if this is true, Enhypen totally could have just wanted to cover the song. But if groups are covering songs from that era, I'm nervous that it will be the same thing where those songs are too big and Iconic for them to do it justice.

I was wondering what it was about this cover that was keeping me from adding it to my playlist, and it's what you said. That BTS's version is just too iconic, nothing could ever compare to it. I think you worded it perfectly, Enhypen's version is missing the desperation and despair that BTS embodied throughout the song.
