Hope you’re doing well. Busy month here! I hope some of the new vector elements on the site will prove to be useful. My favorite elements are definitely the simple ones - I’ve used some of the basic sun ray patterns over and over again.
It was good for me to take a breather from the tutorials and focus on the new section of the site. The dark secret about the tutorials is that they take me FOREVER to create… on average, it’s about 6 days for a 10-12 minute video. Needless to say, I’ve gone against all common knowledge about publishing on YouTube - “crank out 3 videos a day… quantity over quality!”. In any case, I was a bit behind on my goals for the site, so it was exciting to launch the new section. And in doing so, I was lucky to stumble on a terrifying amount of back-end maintenance that needed to be done.
That being said, I did just wrap up a new tutorial that I’m planning to post tomorrow. For you, my Patreon peeps, here’s an unlisted link for you to watch it before release!
More of everything on the way… As always, huge gratitude for your support! As I type this, I’ve got a pile of moving boxes stacked up around me… the family and I will spend the July 4th weekend moving into a new place… exciting! Which also means the studio setup will change. For now, I’m planning on sticking to the trusty Texturelabs black background, but depending on the setup, maybe we’ll end up with an exciting new camera angle :)
Hope it’s shaping up to be a nice summer for you - maybe a back-to-normal-ish summer???
