2025-01-16 07:28:27 +0000 UTCI don't know why I got so into figuring out what that was but that image specifically looks like a Ludlum (maybe model 3?) Radiation Detector, which looks like it measures radiation (alpha, beta and gamma). It could also be a stand in for charge plate meter which measures electrostatic fields. Now does this specifically matter? Maybe not exactly, but now we know.
