Weekly update on 0,7

Progress:

So yeah... Everyone that was on the minibus got corona out of that trip. I am feeling well and out of the 3 times I had corona, this one was worse for me. I didn't work on Monday and Tuesday, but I managed to do 160 renders. Right now we are at 1020 renders and by my calculation, I think Thursday will finish working on renders. After that, I will need to do post-production work on the renders and make animations.

I had some ideas that I wanted to put in the 0.7 updates, but they will have to be postponed till 0.8. And I wanted to make a trailer for 0.7, but I fear it too much for me to handle alone.

Changes to development:

I am sorry guys that this update is taking so long to arrive. I felt that I worked on this update every day, but it's still not out yet. I once was a player like you guys, and it was very annoying to wait for my favorite games to be updated. I don't feel good about myself.  I want my game to have faster updates and I decided to change my workflow. From now on I will do a minimum of 30 renders per day, my goal is to do 40 renders a day. The biggest problem with the number 40 is that after I do the 25th render my quality of work gets worse. But I will still try to hit that number.  One more change I will make is that I will sometimes skip work on Saturday if too tired. So that being said I will be doing from 180-240 renders per week.

Need your help!

The update is right behind the corner and I decided that I require more proofreaders for my game.  My requirement for getting a proofreader's role is to be from a country that speaks native English. Or know English pretty well.  There are 15 free spots. You MUST BE IN MY DISCORD TO GET THIS PROOFREADERS ROLE!

Pros for being a proofreader:

Playing the update first.

Cons for being a proofreader:

Work

Playing slightly bugged version.

Please rest and be kind to yourself, the drive is best served when you do it for yourself and you enjoy the process for the sake of making it. If you rely purely on other players’ satisfactions, well, some people are just never satisfied.. I’m a big supporter of your work and want to see the project succeed in the long run rather than burning all its fuel in several months of sprinting. Your dedication and discipline in regularly updating already sets you well ahead of a big chunk of devs out there! Thank you for your work :)

I might be the minority in thinking this, but I don't feel forcing yourself to get more work in each day will benefit you or the game in the long run. As you say yourself quality might suffer when you do, plus you might push yourself too hard and end up burning yourself out or dealing with stress/health issues. Which would result in less productivity long term. I'm happy to wait longer for quality, too many devs drop tiny updates or rush work because they force themselves to update every month.
