Having gained a new skill, Lind walked around the prison block and scanned all the criminals' panels.
Two people were particularly worth noting.
First was Casas Rake, a C-level criminal with a rating of 34.
He was a white Mexican drug dealer who sold drugs at the border. Murder and arson were all within his repertoire, making him a ruthless character.
Moreover, his weakness was difficult to exploit because what he feared was his godfather in Mexico.
Second was Jell Flake, a C-level criminal with a rating of 32.
He was a gunman for a black gang who, before entering prison, had massacred an entire family of seven from a rival gang with firearms.
His weakness was his wife and children, which might be somewhat exploitable.
The reason Lind noticed these two was because their fear values were extremely low.
It should be noted that after Lind had beaten Negan Sado to a pulp on the spot with his baton, the fear values of the other criminals had all increased to varying degrees.
Only these two remained unchanged, one with a fear value of 2, the other with 5.
Lind believed they either had something to rely on and weren't afraid of him, or they were constantly thinking about killing him.
Just like George.
His loyalty had remained consistently stable at 1.
Even after witnessing Lind's brutal side, it hadn't wavered.
Clearly, this guy had no intention of turning back. Given the chance, he would betray Lind without hesitation.
Therefore, Lind planned to start by prying information from Negan Sado to see who exactly had pushed him down the stairs.
Presumably, Negan, having taken a beating, should now honestly confess everything.
After leaving the prison block and eating dinner, Lind headed directly to the interrogation room.
Negan Sado had been bandaged by now and lay on the interrogation room floor like a dumpling.
"Speak up," knowing he was awake, Lind sat in a chair and kicked him with his toe. "Who pushed me down from the third floor yesterday?"
Negan Sado's eyelids twitched. He was about to speak when he suddenly remembered the warning from that person last night.
"I, I don't know. I didn't see who it was." After a moment, he answered vaguely, his voice hoarse as if he had swallowed coal.
"Don't know?" Lind stepped on his wound and gradually applied pressure.
"It hurts, fuck, it hurts!" Negan was on the verge of tears, cursing Lind in his heart for being cruel and inhuman.
But Lind didn't care at all. Instead, he increased the pressure even more.
"If you don't talk, I won't stop. Oh, I forgot to mention, I've turned off the surveillance in the interrogation room."
"Ah... ah..."
Negan couldn't bear the pain and had to speak, "I know, I know, please stop."
Lind lifted his foot. "Speak."
"It was that big black guy Flake. He's the one who pushed you!"
"Really?" Lind narrowed his eyes, feeling that since this guy confessed so easily, he might not be telling the truth.
"Really! I saw it with my own eyes." Negan swore earnestly.
"Seems you're still not being honest." Lind stomped heavily on his private parts.
Negan convulsed in pain like a carp jumping out of water, almost bouncing off the floor.
"No! Please! I'll talk! Spare me!"
Lind lifted his foot, let him catch his breath, then stomped down again!
"Ugh ah!"
Negan clutched his crotch, curled his legs, feeling like death would be better than this.
"I'll really tell..."
"Speak quickly!"
Negan answered weakly and intermittently, "It was... it was..."
...
"Casas." In the prison block, after Lind left, George looked serious as he called out one of the serious criminals, Casas Rake, from his cell.
"Officer, is there something you need?" Casas Rake appeared lazy.
He looked like a skeletal figure with triangular eyes, a high nose bridge, and pale skin like a zombie from apocalyptic themes.
"Cut the crap. If you don't want a beating, follow me to the laundry room!" George put handcuffs and leg shackles on him without another word.
Then, waving his baton, he made him push a cart loaded with old sheets and accompanied him to the laundry room.
However, after closing the laundry room door, George's expression changed completely, and he said anxiously, "Damn it, what do we do now? Lind is going to interrogate Negan!"
Casas frowned and shrugged. "Let him interrogate. George, I warned Negan. He'll only give up Flake."
"That's good." George breathed a sigh of relief, but still felt uneasy.
"But what if Negan doesn't keep his mouth shut?"
Casas raised his eyebrows and grinned. "Then we kill him and hang his head on the front gate."
"This isn't Mexico!" George jumped up as if someone had stepped on his foot. "Rake, you fucking can't mess around like this!"
"Then what do you want to do? Fuck!" Casas pushed George's shoulder with his hand. "It's all your fault. You said you could convince that bastard Edward to give up this prison, which is why I got locked up here."
"What happened? Old Edward died, but young Edward refuses to sell the prison!"
"Then you said to have us riot and scare young Edward, but now young Edward has the guts to discipline us. Fuck! Which side are you really on!"
George was pushed against the door, raised his hands, and had nothing to say.
"Damn it, I didn't expect young Edward to have this kind of personality. Seems I underestimated him. But it's okay, we still have a chance."
George shrugged.
"I've already reported the prison's riots and strikes to the state Department of Corrections. They'll send someone to inspect soon."
"If the prison doesn't meet regulations and hasn't properly accommodated the prisoners, they'll suspend the prison's operations."
Casas said impatiently, "Then what? Do I get sent to another prison again?"
George explained, "No, no, no, listen. The state Department of Corrections will deploy a group of guards from public prisons to take over the prison until it completes its reforms."
"But completing reforms is impossible because young Edward can't give everyone raises."
"Combined with your riots and reports."
"I'm confident I can convince Edward to sell the prison to us at a low price."
George didn't yet know that Lind had used the captain to win over Andy and had him persuade the other guards.
"You better be right." Casas sneered. "If you fail again this time, then listen to me. Kill that bastard warden and throw his head to feed the fish."
"Don't worry." George didn't want to talk to him too much. Although he and Casas were accomplices, they belonged to different gangs.
He despised these Mexican drug dealers who acted arrogantly and didn't know how to restrain themselves.
To do business in America, one naturally had to follow American rules!
Killing people at the drop of a hat, even if they killed the entire Edward family, the prison wouldn't fall into their hands. Instead, it would be ordered closed by the state Department of Corrections.
However, despite his inner dislike, he was quite honest with his words.
"Casas, I'll go ask young Edward what he got from the interrogation in a while, but regardless, when Negan returns to the prison block, you find a chance to take him out." George drew his thumb across his throat.
Casas smiled viciously. "Leave that to me. He's useless now anyway."
"That's settled then."
George turned to open the door, and his gaze collided with Lind, who was standing outside.
