SUP Chapter 82: Secrets of the Universe, Marvel's Chaos

Gwen and a group of soldiers carried the body parts of Homelander and the Hulk into the back rooms, leaving only Ian standing in the hall filled with busy researchers, having a staring contest with Digital Tony.
"Which of you is actually the dimensional demon god? Or have I actually encountered two dimensional demon gods!?" The demon head's brain crashed, momentarily falling into utter confusion where it couldn't distinguish anything clearly.
Tony looked toward this demon's head.
Ian skillfully hammered the demon's head several times, "Would you shut up already? Do you have to yammer a few words at everyone you see, claiming you've encountered yet another dimensional demon god?"
He seriously suspected the demon head wanted to become a flatterer.
Perhaps in hell, praising others as resembling dimensional demon gods was equivalent to the mutual compliments humans exchanged when meeting, comparable to daily greetings like "I really envy how you're making money again."
"I... I really didn't want to flatter you guys."
The demon felt extremely wronged.
Daring to be angry but not to speak.
In its heart was only one firm thought: thirty thousand years in the eastern prison, thirty thousand years in the western prison. As long as it endured enough, there would surely come a day when it could rely on its bloodline to become a great demon.
Heh.
Just wait until that time.
It would definitely have an invincible, knock-resistant adamantine head!
The kind that would feel no pain no matter how much it got hit!
In an instant, the demon felt that life once again held hope and anticipation.
"He really is a dimensional demon god... he's eaten so many, many souls and hasn't finished digesting them..." After adjusting its emotions, the demon still couldn't help but persist in its viewpoint.
"Still being stubborn? Then let Mr. Stark himself say whether he's a dimensional demon god or not!" Ian took the opportunity to question Digital Tony.
Whether possible or impossible, he had already sung the white face role.
Not asking would make him appear insufficiently rigorous, lacking wariness.
"This world no longer has any dimensional demon gods." Digital Tony suddenly formed a projection of himself in front of the mainframe, staring at the demon head at Ian's waist and speaking gently.
"However, their souls are actually all here with me." It was apparent that this Digital Tony was also somewhat puzzled, not understanding why he could still see a demon with a soul.
"So you're saying you're actually an existence similar to a scientific mother tree? When others die, their souls return to you, then you use some kind of technological device to give birth to them again?"
Ian's eyes sparkled with curiosity.
Upon hearing this, Digital Tony simply had someone bring a metal box, gesturing for Ian to place the demon head inside. Ian didn't hesitate and put the demon head in.
It was just an abyssal demon barrel anyway. Hell still had a whole bunch of unfinished products. If Digital Tony lost this one, Ian could properly make this guy compensate him with some real hard currency: high-end scientific knowledge.
"Your understanding isn't wrong. I am indeed doing such things." After Digital Tony signaled the staff to seal the box shut, he slowly responded to Ian's earlier question.
"Due to some well-known reasons, our world is on the brink of fragmentation and destruction." Digital Tony waved his hand, and the surrounding researchers and hall seemed to disappear instantly.
The entire control room's walls became starry sky, with countless points of light flowing within. Ian felt as if he were in the universe itself, able to sense the infinite vastness of the cosmos.
"Cool."
Ian knew this wasn't spatial transfer but rather a visual effect similar to holographic projection. He was actually still in the base hall full of researchers.
Standing in this starry space, Tony's expression carried memories, "I still haven't figured out what triggered everything. The 'living' space of infinite universes began continuously shrinking at some point in time. Thus, some weak universes began merging with ours, and things that shouldn't exist squeezed into our world."
This explanation sounded very familiar to Ian. He had heard a similar story from Lady Death. Apparently, both worlds had encountered the same crisis.
Only the DC universe seemed luckier?
For some reason, Ian didn't hear from Digital Tony any talk about fragmented universes eroding other universes. He still suspected this was because the Marvel universe had parasitized him, so Digital Tony was deliberately concealing things.
The young man was thoughtful.
Digital Tony continued explaining the situation to Ian, "At first, no one thought this was a big problem. Our universe was large enough to accommodate those poor refugees."
"Even those high-dimensional deities were pleased to see this happen, as if such situations added to their amusement. At least initially, they never thought to stop it."
Tony's voice became heavy, though Ian didn't feel those emotions strongly. Perhaps Digital Tony was just simulating what appropriate emotions to use at appropriate times.
"This sounds like there's a turning point coming?"
Ian played the straight man for once.
"Yes, there's a turning point, and a big one." Tony nodded, "When that crisis began to envelope us, the high-dimensional beings no longer had the ability to cope."
"It wasn't a kind of destruction, nor was it a kind of invasion. It was simply continuously shrinking the universe's living space, causing the entire multiverse to collapse uncontrollably toward the central universe."
"The consequences were obvious."
"The multiverse ceased to exist, and high-dimensional beings were thus dimensionally reduced, becoming ordinary individuals within the universe, no longer possessing their original might and authority."
Along with Tony's narration, the surrounding scenes continuously flowed and changed.
Countless parallel universes squeezed and merged like soap bubbles. Finally, multiverse-level and even higher-tier beings were forced to be confined within a single universe.
This was a fall from grace.
Impossible to guard against.
Utterly abrupt.
Even the most powerful beings had no power to resist.
Ian even heard unwilling roars.
"Um... Lady Death and the others probably haven't realized this yet... right?" Ian's head was buzzing. He found the things Digital Tony was telling him both absurd and terrifyingly thought-provoking.
The Marvel and DC universes were roughly on the same level. Did this mean the DC universe would also fall to such a fate? Ian's expression at this moment couldn't have been more astonished and shocked.
"Alarmist talk from past shadows in a parasitic universe?"
Ian found this difficult to discern, but he also understood that he definitely had to find a way to convey this information to the big shots of the DC universe while extricating himself from the situation.
Such things wouldn't stump his super intelligence.
As for whether it was true or false, that was for the higher beings to judge.
