SUP Chapter 58: Iron Man
Added 2025-08-05 07:56:10 +0000 UTCOn the computer screen, the face of Iron Man Tony Stark, pieced together by countless characters, was lifelike. Ian widened his eyes and rushed to the giant computer in two or three steps.
"Whoa!"
He reached out to touch the cold metal shell of the huge mainframe.
"This is the real Iron Man! It couldn't be more real!" Ian exclaimed in amazement. Of course he was very surprised, but in such a ruined world, nothing seemed particularly strange.
"Did you just touch my butt?" Digital Tony raised an eyebrow, his tone teasing, seemingly not minding Ian's comment. He might have already adapted to his current identity.
"Do you want to touch back?"
Ian's counter-question successfully silenced digital Tony, who had been trying to show his humor.
At this moment, "Tony, can you look up information on this boy?" Betty frowned and stepped forward, pointing to Ian beside her, "He can unlock Gwen's weapon and open the base's door."
Perhaps knowing she couldn't get any useful information from Ian, and not wanting to hear Ian's statements of uncertain authenticity, she chose to directly ask the existence she trusted most.
Upon hearing this, digital Tony seemed to have searched through all data and memories in an instant that humans couldn't react to.
"No records."
"He's not a S.H.I.E.L.D. employee, nor a member of the Avengers, and definitely not any acquaintance from when I was still alive." Digital Tony shook his head with absolute certainty.
"No records!?"
"No records at all!?"
Both Betty and Gwen seemed shocked to an indescribable degree.
To this, digital Tony only nodded.
"Yes, he has the highest authority, and I don't know the reason." The image on the screen flickered slightly, as if representing digital Tony's emotional fluctuations.
"How is this possible?"
Betty gasped.
"Of course it's possible, dear Miss Betty Ross. Tony Stark was indeed my past, but I'm also just Tony Stark's incomplete future."
"Many things unrelated to the plan, I didn't upload." Digital Tony shrugged.
"Perhaps you can go to my grave and look for my missing brain, if you can still find it." His words carried the indifferent attitude that only a slacker king would possess.
"What plan?"
Ian's inquiry went unanswered. Gwen looked at him with an extremely strange expression.
"You're so weird!"
She became increasingly suspicious of Ian's innocence.
"A superhuman with no recorded data..." Betty looked at the boy beside her with uncertain suspicion.
"Don't look at me, I can't even handle the hundreds of viruses on my computer." Ian raised both hands, sincerely expressing that his understanding of computer knowledge was limited to its daily and routine use.
"..."
Both Betty and Gwen were speechless at this.
"But fortunately, they coexist harmoniously on my computer and don't affect my gaming and video watching. They just occasionally pop up in comments to scold me for playing poorly."
Ian's voice was somewhat wistful. The atmosphere in the base hall was particularly quiet. No one responded, making Ian too embarrassed to ask which antivirus software he should buy. He had tried most antivirus software on the market, but the viruses on his computer had increased by more than ten instead.
Free things just don't work well. Ian really missed the days when only 360 could poison his computer.
Just then, "Dr. Ross, there's a problem with the experimental project!" A staff member in a white coat ran over hurriedly, looking tense. His words immediately changed Betty's expression drastically.
She didn't even bother with Ian anymore, turning to follow the staff member and leave quickly. Gwen hesitated for a moment, then also chased after them. The two people and the staff member disappeared behind a door together.
The hall suddenly became quiet, with only a group of researchers typing code that Ian couldn't understand.
"So, what are you all busy with here?" Ian looked around at the busy staff members. They even had snacks, not quite like people struggling to survive in an apocalypse.
Digital Tony's gaze had been following Ian's movement.
"This is the 'Survivor Alliance.' Our only goal is to get the world back on track, correct our civilization, and correct the wrong course of this entire universe."
He answered without any concealment.
"Not bad."
Ian nodded. According to Lady Death's explanation, if this was inside a broken universe, then these "remnants" from the universe's past would indeed have such obsessions. He was already thinking about how to invite Tony to play Gwent with him.
What? Human brains can't beat computers? This really underestimated Ian's super intelligence. He was now circling around digital Tony, looking for where to unplug digital Tony's power cord.
"Uh."
Digital Tony waited a few seconds and found that Ian had no intention of continuing to ask. He finally couldn't help but speak, "Don't you want to ask how we plan to achieve this?"
What excellent desire to share.
"Does your civilization continuation plan include a part about distributing attractive partners?" Ian's sudden question left digital Tony somewhat confused, shaking his head.
"Then I'm not very interested in knowing your plan."
Ian shook his head and refused decisively. He felt this part of the "remnants'" temptation was slightly lacking in technical content. If he were to tempt others, he would definitely directly promise to distribute eighty-eight of the most beautiful wives.
"..."
Digital Tony didn't smoke, but he was indeed silenced by Ian.
After a full five seconds, "My database records every life in this world, including the most beautiful and sexy psychologist in the universe. Perhaps I can awaken her to have a chat with you."
For some reason, even a computer thought Ian had psychological problems.
"Can she prescribe medication for me?"
Ian asked curiously. He wasn't really tempted, because he knew that taking drugs here wouldn't achieve the effects he wanted.
"No, but I swear, she really..." Digital Tony didn't understand Ian's inner thoughts. He still thought he was good at grasping men's psychology.
However, "Sorry, no need, thank you. I have my own, also two of them." Ian's decisive interruption and direct refusal caught this computer carrying Iron Man's memories and thoughts off guard.
"..."
Digital Tony wanted to facepalm, but unfortunately, he no longer had a forehead.
"ROAR!"
Just then, a deafening roar came from deep within the base. The entire underground space trembled, alarms immediately sounded, and red emergency lights flashed frantically.
