SUP Chapter 48: Dad! I Almost Didn't Recognize You!

Yellow sand swirled into whirlpools beneath Clark's feet, scorched earth steaming with dark red mist. The originally industrial-style cafeteria presented a scene that seemed like another world under the distortion of light and shadow.

Clark wore his classic battle suit.

He gazed deeply at his youngest son with profound eyes.

"..."

Ian generally wouldn't panic.

Facing his parents was an exception.

And unfortunately, he was now being watched by his father with a serious gaze. Of course, the good news was that Ian didn't need to worry at all about being attacked by heat vision from Superman's eyes.

This was much better treatment than most villains received. However, the bad news was that even though Ian could be honest, he still found it difficult to explain why he was using Kara as a hammer.

"I don't understand what you're talking about." Ian instinctively wanted to hide his cousin behind his back, but she was really too tall, and his not-so-broad back couldn't hide her at all.

Actually, even if he could hide her, it wouldn't have any meaning.

It was just a conditioned reflex.

"Superman! You're late! As a citizen, I'm the one who needs an explanation." Ian thought of the news he saw last night and, in desperation, chose a preemptive strategy.

He disguised himself as an ordinary citizen who couldn't see clearly whether Superman was handsome or not. This was a very reasonable disguise, and Ian felt he was also respecting DC Universe traditions.

It might not be very effective when applied to Ian.

"???????"

The veins on Clark's forehead visibly appeared, his fists clenched tightly. Obviously, if he didn't have the habit of not hitting children, Ian would be seeing his hidden Coach belt right about now.

"Ian, this isn't funny."

Superman gritted his teeth, his voice low and magnetic.

"Hiss, Superman actually knows my name... tsk tsk, I knew there must be some copper smelting hidden among superheroes..." Ian's performance, learned from his deskmate, was obviously not enough to pass as real.

He saw his father's face becoming increasingly livid.

"Uh, I knew Madison's 'Madison's Acting Rules' was unreliable!"

Ian was startled and didn't dare continue tarnishing his father's image. After swallowing hard, he suddenly raised his hand and pointed behind Clark.

"Look! That Titan giant is getting up again!" Ian let out an exclamation. It wasn't a UFO routine, but he really saw a scene that could divert attention.

A massive figure that blocked out the sky slowly stood up, matching Sargeras from Ian's memory. His expression was angry, his size had shrunk considerably but still radiated suffocating pressure.

"Rumble!"

The Titan's terrifying fist smashed fiercely toward the culprit who had knocked him down.

He was launching a sneak attack.

He didn't even stir up any wind.

"Bang!"

Clark wasn't at all surprised by Ian's reminder.

He didn't even turn around, just reached back with one hand, and the ancient otherworldly Titan's fist, larger than a truck, was directly and steadily fixed in mid-air.

The visual impact was very intense.

"Mortal!"

The Titan roared in anger.

He found himself seemingly unable to move.

Clark completely ignored the struggling behind him, his gaze always focused on his youngest son, which made Ian, who was already feeling somewhat guilty, start to feel his scalp tingling.

"Truly worthy of being Superman! It seems I'm not needed here anymore..." Ian's pantyhose-covered head showed a forced smile, then silently placed Kara on the ground.

Just like placing a sculpture.

He even helped Kara pat off the dirt on her body, all evidence of his "crimes" of using Kara as a hammer to bang around everywhere, which he now silently cleaned up completely.

What was this called?

It was called destroying the evidence!

Ian had already started leaving himself an escape route.

"Ian, I am your father, Clark Kent." Superman had never been so speechless in his life. His voice was now so low it was almost comparable to Batman's tone.

Perhaps to vent his dissatisfaction, Clark turned around and floated in mid-air, hammering the Titan behind him several times, driving the Titan directly into the mountain peaks of the earth's veins.

Rocks flew everywhere, the scene looked very much like a domestic violence scene, so much so that Ian, who had originally planned to curse angrily, only dared to speak softly after gently patting the rock fragments off his face.

"What an evil Superman! Actually impersonating my kind father!" Ian looked around for a moment but couldn't find any direction to escape in this "real illusion."

Everywhere was scorched earth and lava.

There was absolutely no place for a tactical retreat.

Actually, he had an idea.

As long as he could run away.

Then he could definitely fabricate a perfect story about a "shapeshifter" impersonating him. Never underestimate a writer's abilities. Ian felt he could definitely concoct an exciting and believable plot.

"Stop playing dumb! Ian!" Superman emerged from the dust, his eyes still carrying residual red glow, making him look quite murderous.

Ian couldn't help but shrink his neck.

"Glasses... Clark... put on your glasses..." Perhaps because the chef had perished, Kara was also slowly awakening. She shook her head and reminded Clark.

Supergirl felt she already understood some of her nephew's routines.

She still remembered what had just happened.

She offered her "affection" to Ian.

"!!!!"

Ian felt he had been betrayed.

Evil cousin!

He saw Superman somewhat confusedly take out his glasses and put them on his face. There was really no reason to play dumb anymore. Ian could only hurriedly "suddenly realize" and slap his forehead.

"Oh! My goodness! My dad is actually Superman! Without glasses, I couldn't recognize him! How amazing!" Ian stepped back several times then took a deep breath.

"I must tell Jonathan and Jordan this good news!"

He changed his strategy.

Activated threat mode.

His father really didn't want the children to discover this secret. Ian was clear about this because he was a fake prophet who had a firm grasp on his father's personality.

"..."

Superman's temples were throbbing.

"You'd better think about how to explain to your mother why you didn't come home on time again today!" Clark gritted his teeth, turned around, and again aimed at the Titan giant behind him, frantically unleashing heat vision.

Transferring his anger, Superman also understood emotional management.

It was just that the massive Titan, constantly roaring under the heat vision, definitely suffered for it.

"Lowly mortal! You cannot stop our rebirth! You will eventually become one of us!" The Titan's roar echoed through the sky, but his threats had no effect.

Superman's heat vision looked even more ferocious.
