Patreon build 7 is out!


Windows (64bits, 32bit), Linux, Mac

Patreon code now is "puppy". It allows to unlock the gallery, access the cheats from the options, and the dialogue editor with Alt+E.


The long awaited and multiple times delayed build is finally out! We want to thank our patrons for their patience and trust in our team. This update is the biggest one we did so far, and was necessary to progress in the development smoothly. The Majority of our core systems were updated and upgraded, specially the gameplay related ones. Combat and RPG systems have now a solid base, which will allow us to add new content and features much more efficiently.

Not to mention that our story finally gets an introduction! Starting a new game no longer spawn you in the middle of Kaldea, but in a small cart, in which your adventure starts. Upon completing the introduction chapter, the player will return to Kaldea and can continue with the previous content as usual in free roam mode.

We did a preemptive bug-shooting with a selected team of testers, and seemingly solved majority of them, but if you encounter any, please report them to our discord server bug-tracker channel. Feel free to leave feedback in the comments or our discord channel. We will make a new devlog explaining our future plans for next update (which will not take as long, don't worry) and a new vote on next recruitable companion as well!

Changelog:

- Lot of sound effects for the combat and the exploration.

- 1 smut scene with 3 animations.

- Collectibles scattered around the map (additional lewd pictures).

- New combat UI.

- Heavily reworked combat balance.

- 4 new fully animated enemies.

- 2 temporary companion, and one playable in combat.

- New functional UI and systems: inventory, quest log, codex encyclopedia, abilities, gallery

- Lots of lore information in the codex encyclopedia.

- Fog of war, dynamic field of view, fog, particles.

- Modular sprite system for enemies. 

- New animated foliage system (plants, mushrooms).

- Lots of minor additions and bugfixes.


Edit Dec 01: We updated the patreon build to include the last bug fixes, as well as a few additions such as enemies infighting, rats, cockroaches and combat improvements.

Hi, Im having problem launching the game. I open the game, logo is shown and after that, screen just freezes and game shut down. Do you have any suggestions what to do?

Uncompress the archive with 7zip, and execute PriceForFreedom.exe

After you wake up in the cells, make sure you let clementine leave the cell first. It's fixed if you can talk to her directly after this point.

This is a known issue, start a new game and save before using the gallery. It's already fixed in the dev build.

Oof, yeah sounds like a big balance issue. We will address such occasional situation in the following updates.

The script could use a little proofreading and sometimes targeting specific parts/using items is a bit finnicky, but I'm enjoying this.
