After many weeks of preparation, Emily Lockwood had finally made progress in her investigation of Arthur Throckmorton. She had long suspected his nefarious misdeeds, but lacked the proof to bring to the authorities. That is, until the fortuitous secretarial opening posted in the help wanted section of the newspaper. It turned out that Mr Throckmorton needed a new secretary. What luck!

This job called for the famous undercover alias "Emma Keystone" to make an appearance. It would have been nice to not have to deal with the short skirt, tight revealing top, and sigh... pantyhose, but Emily knew that being a girl detective came with hurdles (and ladders, snags, and pulls, as was the case with nylons!)

So with her hair styled up in a messy bun, glasses perched upon her pert nose, Emily stared into the full length mirror in her bedroom and practiced her role, extending out a slender hand in greeting. "Hello. My name is Emma Keystone. Thank you for the secretarial opportunity. I look forward to satisfying your needs!"

Emily rolled her eyes and giggled at her undercover acting while futilely fussing with the far too short hem on her skirt. At least the emerald heels were cute, she thought. Sticking out her tongue at her reflection in the mirror, she made her way to the office.

Time to do some sleuthing. Incriminating evidence doesn't find itself!
