Perky

It's late evening in the Pete household, the kids having long since gone to bed. Her body covered in soap bubbles, Peg sings in the shower, using her loofah as an impromptu microphone. Outside of the steamed up shower door, Pete stands at the sink, wrinkling his nose at Peg's not even close to karaoke-worthy rendition of Whitney Houston.

Peg: (singing) Annnd I-I-I-I will always loove yooooou!

Toothbrush in hand, Pete cringes as Peg hits the high note. Outside, the neighborhood dogs begin to howl, an entire two-block radius of hounds expressing their displeasure with the housewife's lack of vocal talent. By the second chorus, Pete has had enough. A woman's wrath be damned, the rotund husband fills up a glass of cold water...and immediately dumps it over the shower door.

Peg: Annnnd I-I-I-I... HOLY MOTHER MARY AND JOSEPH!

Peg screams at the douse of cold water, practically punching open the shower door.  Her face twisted in a snarl, Pete should have been deathly afraid of the shower cap-adorned redhead...but he just couldn't help but let out a roaring belly laugh.

Pete: BWAH-HA-HAA-HAAA!

If she had a rolling pin, she'd already be beating Pete about the head and shoulder, but her loofah will just have to suffice.  Now covered in suds himself, Pete continues to laugh and guffaw as Peg splats him with the natural sponge again and again.

Peg: What's so -splat- goddamn -splat- funny?!?

Pete points at her chest as he quite literally smacks his opposite hand against his knee...a real knee-slapper as it were. Peg, the joke completely lost on her, continues to snarl at her husband until... Her usually perky nipples are one thing, but add a little cold water and... Peg glances downward and blinks at what could easily be an inch of pink flesh projecting from her equally aroused and goose-pimpled areola. Crossing her arms across her chest, Peg scowls as she steps backwards into the shower...varying forms of Pete's impending demise now running through her head...and then slams the door shut.

Pete: Careful you don't put an eye out with those, Sugar Bumps.
