Nirei HAD to be the thumbnail because of his determination and hard work – it was that or a pole dancing…and I mean, I wasn’t OPPOSED but…. 😛
Sakura was SO blushy this episode! Especially when that romance radar went off!
That’s such a great point that Sakura tries to build people up! I love that about him!
Our trio worrying about walking down a street – hahaha! I’m glad Nirei has been practicing with Suo - Suo’s fit was SO GOOD! And Yes, Scared Suo becomes a South Park Canadian! XD
Kanji is so interesting already – and yes, totally whipped for Shizuka!
And Tsubaki? LOVE. Just…LOVE. All of it! They are SO strong!
Yes, the Rule of 8 was delayed, but I’m SO READY! Thank you for the comment!

Tsubaki is a TANK indeed!! Wow! So impressed!
I really enjoyed this episode, straightforward as it was!
Nirei practicing with Suo was so sweet – I love that we’re touching upon it now, yes! And to see Nirei taking steps to move forward is so nice! I can’t wait to see how he progresses in this series.
Sakura’s romance detector is so fun! And yes, he’s observant and notices these interactions and is able to point them out. And yes, this series is so good with all those little details – what a set up episode, and I look forward to getting more with this new gang! Thank you for the comment!!

Loved the reaction and discussion! Love Nirei’s sweet little face in the thumbnail 🥹
Various things I loved:
Sakura being so pouty and blushy 😆
The trio attempting to survive a walk down that street
Nirei asking to be trained and his expressions in that scene!
Suo protecting Nirei from fully face-planting during training
Kanji being such a drama queen. And getting smaller and smaller as Shizuka scolded him 😆
Love Tsubaki's outfit! And that we got to see how strong and talented he is 😍
Suo as a “South Park Canadian” 🤣
I really love Sakura’s consistent efforts to reassure when someone else is putting themselves down, we’ve seen it several times with Nirei whenever he has talked about being “lame.” I just really appreciate that, as much as we have seen Sakura be afraid to “admit” his own lameness at the beginning of this season, he still takes the time to address Nirei’s worries again. And I love that yet again there was an opportunity for Sakura to project his own insecurities and be unkind (as so often characters who have been traumatised in some way are shown to be), and here he chose not to and instead chose to be encouraging! 🥹 Though he was still blushy and a little coy about it. 😆
The little break will build anticipation for the Rule of 8! 🥳 Looking forward to the next episode! 🌸

Gosh, Tsubaki really is built like a tank O.O
While this episode is pretty straightforward, I quite enjoyed seeing the boys in a different environment than they're used to.
Nirei practicing with Suo is great! We've had the slow build-up to it with the beginning of the season and Nirei getting hurt, and now we can see that he is doing something about his insecurities, much like Sakura has been doing since the beginning. And, much like Sakura, progress starts slow, in the little things like not closing your eyes or trusting in your friends, but I'm sure that once those are nailed down for the both of them they're going to start seeing their own progress more clearly.
Sakura's little romance detector activating around these two new guys is hilarious. I love the idea that while Sakura is super innocent and guillible thanks to what seems like a very isolated upbringing, he is still observant enough to catch those subtle interactions between people, even when Nirei just thinks, initially, that they just get along especially well. I also think that Sakura's more isolated upbringing, where he was constantly fighting to protect himself is what made him so observant, because he probably had to watch people carefully so he wouldn't be hurt. All those little behavioral details are so good in this series, I swear.
This new gang seems like it'll be a ton of fun to get to know better, and I can't wait xD
