I’m so hyped for SG0! Okabe reels us in with his flamboyant antics slowly but surely – though Zero already has a hold on me, I feel! *sips tea* Okarin looks amazing in Black! Soft!Okabe feels so interesting as a title, because he feels like he’s “secretly” spiraling beneath the surface! I feel for Maho for her height! And I have a student about her height that is constantly referred to as way younger than she is, so that’s relatable! She has the same mood on it, though - but yes, at least Okabe was apologetic about it! The series is really off to a start and I’m here for it! And hey, if you missed the last couple of reactions, maybe they’ll be fun to see in hindsight after Zero, hahaha! Thank you for the comment!

I watched Steins Gate a long time along because my brother loves the show and he wanted me to watch it; I was new to anime and Okabe's flamboyant antics were a bit of a hard pill to swallow for me (though I love them dearly now); and it wasn't until I watched 0 that I truly fell in love with the anime. Okabe does be looking so good in black! I call his whole look in this show Soft!Okabe because he looks so gentle - yes, I know that he is not doing okay and that's what accounts for his milder demeanor, but I've called him that from the beginning and now I refuse to back down xD Maho is so real for being so annoyed at everyone for treating her like a child because of her height; I feel her. I have a young looking face and I'm pretty short, so I'll often get people thinking that I'm a minor even though I'm way over that age x'D It's a blessing, and it can make for pretty funny stories, but it's also a bit annoying. At least Okabe apologized so sincerely to Maho after got on his case. Starting the series with a flashforward is always a strong statement, and I'm here for it. P.S. I've been so busy that I sort of lost track of the few last Stein Gate reactions, but I'm going to start catching up soon. I do want to keep track of 0 though, just to not lose too much pace xD

2026-02-24 03:54:12 +0000 UTCUnrelated to steins gate, but I don’t know if you saw that a new Evangelion 30th anniversary short film released in Japan. I saw the whole thing on TikTok from someone who was at the event and even with suspect TikTok translated subtitles I thought it was really good and a fun short movie. I haven’t seen anything about a streaming release but I hope they release it some day, I feel like if they don’t release it, that would be such an injustice to fans outside of Japan who can’t go to the event to see it.
