Wind Breaker Season 2: Episode 3 FULL LENGTH Reaction!

Wind Breaker Season 2: Episode 3 FULL LENGTH Reaction!

Comments

Thank you for the comment and kind words! Sorry it took so long to get to this! There was so much happening in this episode! I love to see how we get LITERAL “ships” with the names having a WWII connection; that’s so cool! And them being ones that “sink” is crazy – especially with Nagato being the only one left standing - clever! Natori is definitely an interesting twist on the villains in this series! Nagato’s story was so sad – I’m glad he gets a happy ending with his friends! That huuuuuggggg – love it! Tsuge “for training purposes of course” - I love that! I definitely felt for Nirei, and I’m glad Suo seems to be there for him! Also, loved everyone sticking up for Sakura after his confession! Friendship is magic and we love to see it! Kaji getting teased by his class was such a surprise – very relatable to Sakura! Also, yes, Umemiya with the upper body game! I can see the connection to Haikyuu with the restaurant scene! It felt like the aftermath from a sports game! Umemiya out here being a counselor as well! The after credits scene is so mysterious! I’m intrigued and can’t wait to learn more! Thanks again for the comment - I can’t wait for more with this season!

Thank you for the reaction! i also like that bofurin is not about trying to change who you are as a person but instead to find ways to cope or to bring out the best of you, which differs between characters. this ep had lots of hugs! and a brawl on our heart ... and yep wind breaker does feel sport-anime ish sometimes. I see that a youtube comment has already enlightened you on that interview from nii-sensei :D it is certainly different from the typical "delinquent genre" manga/anime but i love it! interesting thing about ships... yeah Keel refers to the keel of a boat and the Keel member names are all related to Imperial Japanese Navy ships that were destroyed in WW2 with Nagato being the only surviving one (I guess the Nagato Anzai Tsuchiya ship has set sail? /j). Another note with Keel is that their symbol is a dragon skeleton which makes sense cuz similar to bofurin having the same sound as "windbreaks" and "wind chimes", the kanji for the keel of a boat is 竜骨 which literally translates to "dragon bone". S1 set up an expectation of bad guys that used to be good with the choji togame meeting but it's funny how here with natori, you can immediately clock that he's evil lol. Togame first meeting choji: meeting the sun with light in his eyes Nagato first meeting natori: meeting the shadow with evil in his eyes. interesting comparison between nagato and sako, I've never thought of them like that before but it's true, nagato wants to be like anzai, while sako wants to be with hiragi, but they ended up taking the opposite actions ... i'm glad that you didn't blame nagato for his situation (not that i thought you would but I've seen some other people who did) and that you understood how from his POV, he could not see a way to escape. Nagato's situation was unfortunately quite realistic. no one judging nagato in bofurin my familyyyy the anzai nagato conversation made my heart so warm. i love the hug so much !!! 💕💕 i love how closely and carefully anzai held nagato and then how strongly nagato clung back once he let himself cry😭😭 nirei finally woke up and it's tsuge giving him the piggyback! (of course it's tsuge... for training purpose of course of course...) Nirei looked so down on himself :( both him and Sakura need to be less harsh on themselves... Nirei's "I know it doesn't sound reassuring from me" hurts my heart 😭 suonirei going strong from s2 haha Suo's gentle and worried look i can't get over it... "baby noooo" 😂 Nirei pulled in clutch by contacting the 2nd years... he got the vice captains and captain's contact info in s1 ep 12 and put them to use here. I wonder whether he made contact first, or they reached out to him after seeing class 1-1 walk off. Sakura bursting out like that and blaming himself for everything...😭😭😭 the way he braced himself to be blamed after the outburst as though he knew it was going to hurt but still expected it... the voice acting was so good and the expressions were on point! yeah anzai would go for nagato regardless so he's grateful to Sakura for helping out. and the others are good guys who are frustrated at themselves aww the Sakura pink love bubbles blooming and spreading and Sakura feeling love from his friends 💕💕💕 Kiryu holding Sugi back after he tried to just walk off into the sun was so funny The second years are great big bros for the firsties generational lineage indeed... *stares at the next ep reaction* I love how Enomoto and Kusumi tease Kaji who's trying to act all stoic and cool Kaji: enough about me, let's get back to the plot Keel was suspicious... when Kaji asked natori whether he was the leader of the gang in the previous ep, natori just questioned Kaji back on what he meant and didn't explicitly confirm he was the leader... umemiya biceps game is strong. chest game too... the food scene also reminded me of haikyuu Nagato tearing up 😭 I like the importance put on eating delicious food with others in wind breaker, both s1 and here in s2. the things we take for granted like eating delicious food with others, should be treasured. when you're feeling empty and awful inside, such as with depression, I hear that it affects your taste buds too. Umemiya can you be my therapist thank you Nirei : spokesperson when Sakura denies his feelings lol Umemiya can you be my love therapist thank you Sakura blushing so much this ep to make up for the previous episodes' lack of blushing finally, Umehira parental scene Tsuchiya looks so cute, I like how comfy she looks in that fit awww my precious trio, i love them very much please be happy together forever After credit short - Suo and Nirei have mastered puppy dog eyes on Sakura. It was very effective. After credit scene - hehe, this was a set up episode after all 😈 pop up gangs sound like a nightmare... the fancy shoes, the fancy pants, the fancy turtle neck, the fancy tattoos (rip animators) and that voice... hot guy alert! (even though we dont see the face 😅)

I just love Anzai, Nagato, and Tsuchiya’s friendship in this! Hahahaha, your explanation of that trope was great! And so true - I’m glad we got some Nagato focus in this - it was definitely earned! Umemiya is a great leader and I love how he - like you said - just CALMS everything around him! Definitely a “caring brother” vibe! Sakura really internalizes all those anxieties and doubts, which is so tragic to watch when is friends are supporting him so openly. But yeah, he just doesn’t know how to handle the cards that are getting dealt to him - both the good and the bad. But I love that notion of Sakura “planting roots” (we know Umemiya loves a growing pun) and is gaining friends! And YESSSSS, Kaji and Sakura really connect together much more than I could have possibly thought they would in this series so far (I could not have anticipated the screentime Kaji has gotten in this, either). And yes, I love the connection between “generations” and how things aren’t just “fixed,” but are works in progress throughout this! Thank you so much for the comment - I can’t wait to see where Sakura goes to from here! 😀

Thank you so much for the comment and the kind words! I HAD to use that thumbnail! Nagato getting some nice aftermath focus was so good! And yes, The Anzai huggggg – so needed and so appreciated! Thank you for the kind words on him and Sako’s connections! Yes, the cycle of abuse becoming normalized for a person is heartbreaking! But the idea that someone can help them break that cycle is so great! At this point, Tsuge is just a walking innuendo…woof. I love that Suo is being concerned for Nirei like he is for Sakura – Suo being very caring is so great to see. Sugi is my favorite character to look for in the background of the series - he’s such a mood! I love “finding him” in the discussion shots. And Kiryu’s teasing was so sweet! So happy these three friends can be together again in this series! Thanks for the comment – I am SO excited for Episode 4!

Hey Sulyeri -- the mods noted there were some spoilers in this comment or hints/clues -- I don't know what would need to be changed (You'd have to talk to Floor/Plore, the mod) for that. Just letting you know but thank you for the comment!

The friendship between Anzai, Nagato, and Tsuchiya really is precious to me. Any time I see the trope of the-less-physical-strong-friend-trying-to-be-a-better-fighter-to-be-more-like-their-friend-and-be-their-equal-only-for-the-more-physically-strong-friend-to-tell-him-that-they-see-them-as-really-strong-for-other-reasons I fall a little in love with them, I just love it a lot. And, I mean, Nagato has the mettle, even if his approach to things might have been different than Anzai's more head-on strategy. In any case, I'm glad that they are all okay now, and they are back together. Umemiya really is such a great leader that just has a sixth sense to calm every down. He did it first with the kid that got caught by Shishitoren, and now with Nagato; really, he is an older brother for all of them. Poor Sakura is taking how things went poorly, but that was to be expected. I love how he feels so out of his deapt right now, because that means that he's growing. And, I mean, before he was always so ready for fights and might have felt like they went better because he had no one to care about when he fought, so if he got hurt it didn't matter to him as long as he won. Now, he has to take into account all the people under him, his friends, and how to keep them as safe as he can as well, and he has NO clue how to do that; and, shocker, he actually cares about all of them, which just makes things worse for him, because now he actually has stakes to fight for. So, yeah, as Umemiya keeps saying, this all boils down to Sakura now having roots and friends that he cares about. If there is one thing that I genuinely LOVE is seeing the parallels between Kaji and Sakura. They're both so similar, and I think that Kaji, or even Hiragii (who is Kaji's mentor as much as Kaji is Sakura's, apparently) are more who I think Sakura will end resembling as time goes by and he gets more comfortable to having friends and being a leader, much more than Umemiya's charisma, to be honest. Kaji, being a closer aspiration right now. And I love how it really shows as a process, step by step, of growth and not something that just happened to Sakura because he made friends.

Loved the reaction and discussion! Excellent choice of thumbnail with all three of them! 🥰 Agreed, love how much of an emotional episode this was and that it really focused on Nagato and how he got into that situation, but also how much openness and conversation it took to get him out. Various things I loved: Nagato and Anzai’s conversation at the beginning and how important that hug was Tsuge’s innuendo train keeps choo-choo-ing along 😆 Suo about Nirei behaving recklessly as “Baby, nooo” 😆 Yes, we really can’t lose with the shipping shapes in this episode! The way Sugi keeps walking away in the background throughout multiple shots 🤣 And your on-going imagined Sugi commentary/heckling as some kind of Sugi Mood Translator 🤣 Kiryu teasing Sugi and just in general all the Kiryu’s moments and faces, his VA does such amazing work Really excellent Nagato analysis and I’ve never considered the Nagato and Sako parallels, but they are amazing+painful mirrors of one another! Also loved the discussion around Nagato, very delicately handled. After finishing this I actually went back to listen to the Trigun Stargaze ep 5 discussion again, because the Midvalley+Knives dynamics brought up some of the same themes of abusive relationships and how difficult it can be for someone to even think that they can get out. Which is why I really loved the final scene with Anzai and Nagato seeing Tsuchiya again and the first thing she says is “Welcome back!” I think it is another internal hurdle people can build when they are stuck in a situation like this – the idea that the people from “before” may look down on them when they get out of it, or not welcome them "back," or lecture them and blame them for not getting out sooner, etc. The three of them are so sweet! Cannot wait for next week! 🌸

AWOOGA here comes the best guy voiced by ONE AND ONLY, the legend himself, Daisuke Ono (Sebastian from Black Butler, Erwin from Shingeki no Kyojin, Hongou from Diamond no Ace, Midorima from Kuroko no Basket etc) I mentioned before that Togame, Suo, Kaji and Kiryu are in my top5 characters from the WB - and there is the last one from these five. Funny trivia about me - I have his "frank" tattoo tattooed on my chest! I have only two tattoos that are manga and anime related, this one and ouroboros tattoo from the FMA. Anyway I WONT shut up about him, but only after we will get to know more about him rather than just. his yapping and tatoos lmao My comment is about both second and third episode reaction because I forgot to comment last week lol Uuuuu I'm Shingo Natori uuuu I'm such an omega and I have such a preference for agressive alphas uuuuu I want you to beat me so bad mister Kaji uuuuu He is so funny. Like that dude has literally zero aura. I kinda like him for that, because you really have to be special to be soooo auraless. I like you mentioned that its weird that such a big group was following someone like Natori and in the episode 3 Kaji mentioned the same. Like Kaji is not dumb and the KEEL situation WAS weird and kind of unnatural. They also was getting so much money from their pawns (like Nagato) but they really didn't really look up like a rich guys at all. Kiryu's fight was something really important to me. Tbh I liked it a little bit more in the manga maybe because of the translation. Anyway I liked how Kiryu was standing his way, how how he looks is 100% okay and has nothing to do with anything. I liked how their dialogue was translated in the manga version I read, it was like "If I was born with a fragile body like yours I'd wanna kill myself" "Yeah? But I like my body, thank you very much". In the anime they also skipped something, but Maybe someday you will read the manga? It would be cool. Anyway Kiryu is so great there. In the third episode Kiryu called Suo "sadistic" and I think he really is. I know he wanted to teach Kanuma from Shishitoren a "lesson" but he really bullied him hard by humiliating him in front of his whole team and leaders, he also beat up to a pulp the guy from KEEL and even wanted to hit him when he was already unconsious. In my opinion there is something wrong about Suo, not making him a bad person, absolutely not, but he is so secretive about himself and all that I'm a little bit suspicious about him. Who knows. Maybe he just need a good psychiatrist. His relationship with Sakura is also something that is interesting to me. When Sakura stopped him (it was framed nearly the same like when Umemiya stopped Sakuras hand durin the Shishitoren arc when Sakura tried to hit Choji with rage after him hitting Togame) from hitting the unconsious guy Suo's behavior was... was. Like is was sure his anger towards KEEL justify straight up torturing them. And when Sakura says he IS angry, but on himself, Suo is suprised, like he didn't considered blaming himself over what was happening. From my perspective it seems like Suo is... arrogant? I have hard time finding a proper word for how I see it. Or consider himself better than other people? Like he is sure he is stronger than others (so he thinks its his duty to protect them), that he is more mature or knows more about the world than others (like during his fight with Kanuma), that he is actually in a position when he has a right to scold/torture/humiliate others (when he thinks theyre in the wrong) etc. I really wish I know how to properly explain it in english, but I hope you get what I mean. And it seems like he felt a little inferiority towards Sakura there, when Sakure get something he didn't - that it was THEIR fault that Nirei and the others were hurt and they were losing a fight. He thught "I really am no match for you" which is REALLY weird considering how he behaves and treats himself in the story. Well, I think its hard to properly analazing Suo's character due to how secretive he is about himself. Sakura really has a hard time there. Like he is SURE that other's are judging him and are sure that he is the one that caused everyone's suffering and are hating him for that. That some hard trauma there and low selfeestem. I think a lot of people can identify with Sakura during this moment because it's a very human thing to do, especially when you are a person with a hard childhood/had a abusive parents/was bullied etc. And how his defensive mechanism didn't wait for them to reject him, he was FIRST to accuse them of rejecting him. Thats a defensive mechanism there. "If I reject the FIRST it will hurt less if they left me" thats what is in the head of a person like that and thats a trauma response. And if I say I ship Anzai, Nagato and Tsuchiya as an ot3. Theyre so good! Kiryu is so cute. Like he is sweet, he is caring, he is funny but he also is not afraid of speaking his mind and comment's other people a lot. I love him so muchb you have no idea. And I also love how you mentioned that it was him who said first that they were also disapointed in themselves. Like they should do better. I really like Anzai's character. At first I thought he is going to be just a face used to put and arc to motion but he is an actual character that is likeable and has an personality. And that he actually matters as a person to Sakura's arc, like he is not afraid to speak his mind to Sakura and reassure Sakura that he is still liked and that he is grateful to him. I think its very important that Anzai was a person who said that in that moment, because he was a character that was a catalisator for this arc to even exist. Its cool taht even the characters that are not Main Characters(TM) are more than just faces with a purpose to put a story in motion. Kaji's vice capitans, Enomoto and Kusumi, also could just Be There but theyre actual proper characters and are entertaining to watch. I think it speaks a lot about the author - you can feel that he likes his story and his characters. I love reading/watching stories like that. When I can see the author have an actual fun with making his story and likes it. It warms my heart to see how much care he puts in the world. I have a proposition - manga has a lot of additional pages. Its nothing spoiler-y, and even if you not reading the manga I think it would be cool to react to the additional pages, maybe after you end a second season? Like characters sheets, plans af a places, uniforms sheets etc. Its just a trivia but it has a lot of cool information there about how author is writing this universe. When Sakura hit his leg in the restaurant I love how funny the reaction of the other characters was. Hiragi was like "Omg watch out!!! >:/" Umemiya was like "hahahahaha!", Nagato had zero idea what is going on, Kaji give zero fucks and was still eating because who tf cares?, Enomoto like a big momma wanted to help, Nirei was screaming for a tower, and Suo was like "awwww, Sakura-chan likesss his friendsssss :3" what a comedy I really can't wait for the next episode. It's going to be SO good
