Thank you so much! It’s such a great start to JanuYaoi! I’m so glad y’all enjoyed the intro! It was fun to make! Eddie is super fun as a character - I love all the cyborgs in this, especially Rena! Side story for Rena, PLEASE! Mannn, right?! This went along with Wind Breaker this week WELL! 😀 Had to give Hawk the accent and man, all the innuendo with the…mechanics of it all; the mangaka was really clever with it in this! And yes, it reminds me of Zariya Ranmaru’s “Liquor and Cigarettes” where one of the friends gets the couple a …. Gift as well! ;) Hawk is the best wingcyborg, though! This was a great volume! What a great start to another Januyaoi! 🥰 Various things I loved: The intro killed me 🤣 Eddie was super cute with the various patterned shirts. And just in general the amount of personality all the different cyborgs had through their clothing and faces. Rena can protect me anytime – please and thank you 🥰 Also, this was hilarious to watch right after the WB ep 11 reaction 😆 Loved Hawk getting an accent “I bet them palms are gonna be real springy” 😆 ‘Everyone pitched in to get you one’ 🤣 - true friends Agreed, Hawk is absolutely the best! This was a beautiful little volume! 🥰 Cannot wait for the next entry! 🌈

2026-01-04 11:53:05 +0000 UTCThis was a fun read. I would not have minded more of it, perhaps exploring Ethan's past or the societal implications of using cyborgs to fight wars. (I would read a whole spinoff about Rena in a heartbeat!) I like the point you made about the romance being representative of how people who have felt dehumanized by society (either through modifications to their body or through fighting in a war) can find love. It's a hopeful view of the future that I love to see in fiction. Thanks for the video and the introduction to something I would not have discovered otherwise!
